IMO the character in G-Reco looks really artistic and very pleasing to the eye without resorting to looking like the generic and by-the-numbers character in today's shows (IIRC the designer is the one who did Eureka 7). Aida & Raraiya (among other young females) are hawt. Mask & Klim Nick (among other young males) are fabulous. The mecha designs lineup are Valhalla for true mecha fans. And I dare say the mecha fights in G-Reco looks the most beautiful and very nicely-animated compared to other mecha shows this season considering it still uses the old-school hand-drawn animation which is more difficult than using CG mechas.

Honestly, compared to the OVA trailer, I can't say this got me quite as excited .

As far as anything positive...well, the new Aquarion design looks pretty cool, and the Vectors look interesting as well, and I'm interested in what the plot will be about. The enemy/Angel design silhouettes also looked pretty good .

Biggest disappointment? No Akino. I mean, I like May'n and Haruka Chisuga quite a bit, but it just doesn't feel like Aquarion without Akino (and Yoko Kanno for that matter) and I was really looking forward to hearing a new song from her and Bless 4 .

Also, the character designs are definitely a downgrade from Evol's. I don't want to say they're terrible, and I could probably get used to them, but as a whole I can't say I'm feeling them that much.

Now as for the creative team, we have some of The Fool crew back on here which I wouldn't necessarily see as a positive. The fight animation in The Fool never wowed me, among some of my other issues with it, so I guess the best I can hope is that they bring more of an A-game here.

I'm not hating on the mech battles or designs(even though there have been some derp moments, but what show doesn't?), but the char designs....I dunno, I didn't hate them, nor did I like them either. Sure its miles better than, say, Hirashi Hirai(SEED), but something about it was off-putting. I don't know if it was the animation + choreography or what =0\.

Also how was Nobunaga the fool? I was also under the impression that it was considered a trainwreck by a lot of people, but it could be typical anime circlejerking.

Best anime of the decade even beating out the Fafner movie. Whoever is calling it a trainwreck probably doesn't get Kawamori or appreciate it being serious.

I’m calling it trainwreck and I’ve been following Kawamori’s mecha works since I watched SDF Macross (maybe not all, but most of them I’ve seen) untill The Fool. So yeah, I think I get him (being a Macross fan helps too). And yes, The Fool is still a trainwreck and dreck to me. So don’t judge other people just because they don’t like the show you like.

Well, I thought it was lots of fun, despite its flaws (one of which was the main character being horribly miscast - if, for some reason, you want to hear Miyano Mamoru being awful, this is the anime you should watch).

And there was Caesar. I went into the show expecting to really like the main trio; I ended up not caring much about Nobu and Mitsu, but falling really hard for Caesar (although I still liked Hideyoshi, especially after he went cyborg ). He would really deserve his own show...

The music was very nice, too.

The Genesis of Aquarion song talks about 8000 years and 100,002,000 years. My guess is this will be 8000 years after EVOL.

Also cut the shit about bestiality everyone. Amata and Apollo (despite his quirks) are human i both series. I don't want to deal with complaints about it in this series as well.

at least in EVOL there is two pair that i really care like jin x yunoa and andy x mix

there are at least 5 or 6 different style vectors according to the poster. This is likely just 1 combination that used just 2 (or is incomplete) of them but there will be many more to come.

One of the first series that I watched. I'm happy it's coming back, but I thought it ended with Amata and Mikono. I was thinking they could make a prequel series with Apollonius and Celiane if they ever made another one. The cover of this looks like it's a completely different cast.

perhaps something happened to Amata and Mikono after the series. I'm more curious who the bad guy is since Toma/Mikage finally got what he always wanted.

It could just be Amata and Mikono are done, but the world doesn't revolve around them and Touma's butthurt so there's someone else's story to tell.

Granted that goes against what Evol showed.

We got some names and individual character designs, nothing much.
Interesting thing of note is that all their names are written in Kanji.

I'm more interested in the placement of the characters, although it may mean nothing. Maybe it's just my wishful thinking, but doesn't it look like a guy-girl-guy setup? The guy on Maia's left, Subete, is supposed to be really really into Maia. Strange, though, he's not shown on the key visual at the official site... maybe he'll be killed off early.

Their names are all Kanji which I guess is because of the "symbols" thing the show is going for.

However it's gonna cause continuity problems since Japanese language and culture was implied to be all but extinct by the time of Evol. And yet Logos is seemingly set in Japan with an entire Japanese cast.

....Please let this be set after Evol. I don't want that horror to be this casts future.
