To be fair to Morisaki's team, even Tatsuya favored them to be the sure 2nd place in Monolith Code,1st place is out because of the Cardinal and the Prince and I doubt even Morisaki is confident that he can take 1st place, and Tatsuya said that Morisaki's team already won their first match
Only problem I had this ep is that the Shizuku/Miyuki match was too short and they failed to show that Shizuku's defense was also giving Miyuki a hard time entering her zone, making her the strongest opponent Miyuki faced in Ice Pillars. I LOL'ed how Juumonji scolded Tatsuya when he was trying to object being in Monolith code and hiding behind his Weed status. |

compare that to Shizuku first match in which they were very closely matched which lasted 51 seconds (15:55-16:46) and the utter curb stomp that Miyuki gave her first opponent which again only lasted 50 seconds (19:02-19:52) their match lasted about 50% longer and since there was nothing to give the impression that Miyuki was holding back I think that is a clear indication that Shizuku's defense was far from weak and she was able to rob Miyuki of a flawless victory. Miyuki is just OP in terms of magic usage compared to normal mages.

Tbh, when everyone stood int hat room I kinda expected them to talk about him being Taurus Silver, rather than Taking over the game (though I expected that too at some point due to the foreshadowing by his military superior)
Too bad though he didn't form a team with Hanzou. Which brings me to my next question: How is Erika allowed to participate in an event that seems to be male only? (We have at least only been introduced to male participants in regards to this game until now)

Only Asuza suspects he is Taurus Silver
Hanzou is unable to participate in Newcomers monolith code because he is a second year and he already has events lined up, it would probably end in disqualification if Tatsuya chose him Erika can't participate in Monolith code, Its a males only event. |

I know Asuza is the only one suspecting it btw - the situation just looked like she told people.

I originally thought that as well, since the transition went from Asuza, then to the meeting. I thought they were going to confront him about it. Well, I still like that they confronted him to play.

hmm, there is something i feel that is underwhelming with the magic. I think it's the visual aspect. Shizuku made a cube and that was cool to look at but stuff like honoka's magic or mayumi's magic didn't look too cool. wanted to see all the ice cubes explode as well from heating liquid nitrogen. Phonon masor didn't seem too fantastic either.
Morisaki was so determined but the other side broke the rules so i can't really fault him here. Hmm, I think azusa is the only person to speculate Tatsuya is Taurus silver and she's most likely not telling anyone else since they didn't seem to talk about it with him. Even Tatsuya crumbles under the might of juumonji. haha |

Like the new OP and ED.
This was a solid episode. The mood was pretty tense throughout it, something I've been wanting to see in this series. Juumonji saw right through Tatsuya. Looking forward to it getting serious next episode.

I just realized something. The fact that they mentioned Masaki's Rupture magic as his main magic, multiple scenes of Masaki using Rupture magic, and Tatsuya being very adamant that Masaki will not use Rupture magic in Monolith Code, I'm very confident now that Masaki will use Rupture magic in the competition in a modified form. He has George, the genius, by his side, who probably developed something to make his magic work for the competition.
Also, I'm pretty sure that Leo will be using that extend a sword device we saw earlier. As for Miki, I have no idea how spirit magic is going to help in the competition, unless they choose the site for Monolith Code as a nature retreat.

I guess Yoshida could use his spirit magic to strike enemies from afar. Wasn't it said during the investigation into Mari's "accident" that it would be possible to hide a spirit somewhere? So Yoshida could be their long-range weapon.

That still requires nature and elements. I also re-watched episode 11, since a "new" release came out, and it makes more sense. Miki's problem is the speed of his spells, and Tatsuya said it could be fixed with a better initial sequence. Most likely Tatsuya might develop "something" that will help Miki with that.

Yes, Miki can use spirits that are not necessarily only in the forests, although I'm sure he will be limited. He can still use air/wind magic in most areas, and there was enough for him to create lightning/electricity to knock out the intruders. Depending on the environment, I'm guessing it could be an advantage or disadvantage, accordingly.

Thing to remember is Shinto, which is what Miki uses from what I can tell, -everything- has a spirit/kami, really.
I'm pretty sure he isn't D&D-esque limited to nature or anything of the sort. Edited to add: this isn't to say that he doesn't use some of the same feel, as he obviously refers to Water spirits and the like. But as an example, if he is really is Shinto, he likely would think of a spirit in cement as Earth rather than 'other'.
