Try reading the West Wind Brigade side story manga to get an idea of how horrifying the Royal Guard appears to Adventurers; particularly back in the days before they knew what would happen if they died in that world.

in conclusion, most of Debauchery's members have dark-side... well, I love Souji-chi's eyes during the episode.. that darkness that only get solved when he received call from Shiroe
our old Raynesia is back!! I like her pout... and what a coincidence.. she and Akatsuki are missing someone important for them at the same time since the serial killer is a NPC, is that means if someone kill him it would be counted as killing people, right? I hate how irresponsible Kunie Clan is... and that Royal Guard is truly OP... even after Souji showed that awesomeness, he still lost... next episode, I guess... Akatsuki's wish is granted |

Royal guards probably will insta kill anyone. But remember, this killer is not royal guards, he just a lander (npc) with some RG armor attach on him, so technically it just like above poster said, he just got massive boost but not outright invisible.
I was thinking the reason his hp didnt go down was probably a barrier protecting him or some sort? Or maybe its the usual "immune" system thanks to misplacement npc location? , you know when you drag a mob way to far from their spawn location they will become immune then they rush back to their spawn location, only in this case the lander didnt go back |

Rough times there. Souji going into a pretty scary state when it's time to get revenge. But even still they couldn't actually bring this guy down. His own ability wasn't able to handle it. Glad that he gave some tips to Akatsuki because frankly she could use it. Although it's kind of at the vague level where she'll still have to put quite a bit of time in to actually figure it out.
Things seem to be going slowly in the Raid as well. Just isn't going to be easy to get through that.

Now I feel dumb I actually thought the girl who was killed last episode was a person of the land. I guess that will teach me not feed into whatever people post.
Anyway Akatsuki tries to pull a Batman and get shown up by Souji. Nice moves by the way you never mess with a mans heram. I look forward to see how Akatsuki comes back from this defeat. So the question I want to know is...Are the Royal Guards really rebelling? it would seem some random NPC stole some Defender Armor and is just going on a rampage.

A single Royal Guardsman, frustrated and driven insane by what he sees as disrespect from the Adventurers, has stolen his suit of armor and is using it to kill people. The rest of the Guards aren't involved, and I doubt they will be. Just like the Kunie clan, they don't seem to think anything outside of their narrowly-defined purpose is actually their business.

Even in this episode faithful enough as it is. A preshield from a maxed out Nazuna to Souji who's a semi tank class samurai only took out roughly quarter of his HP. Therefore it's not insta kill, or even close to an insta kill. In most MMOs, that's down right workable. Any tank class has damage buffs/mitigation would be able to survive and that means a large enough team would be able to survive indefinitely. Spoiler for Lore:

This has nothing to do with the story but can someone answer me this? I really want to know, Maybe you can put spoiler just in case.
- Is levelling make your char older? I notice that tohya and minori seems to be growing, in season 1 they definitely look like kids (around level 30's i think), but now they look like they are in their teen age (level 50). - if they can grow older, does this mean they still can die of old age? - last thing, is levelling from 90 to 100 took that long? In typical mmorpg stuff, levelling 10 level usually doesnt take more than a week , or is it because there is no quest so they just do it korean way? As in grinding. |

This is an old-school MMO, not your newfangled WoW thing made for casuals to have power-fantasies in. Leveling is a slow process that takes effort. You can't log in for two minutes, glance at a goblin, and gain five levels.

Yeah i notice it too, although at first i didnt think him as the janitor to begin with
I like how every episode always have those "trio" doing something for their daily life, at first i hate them but now i always hoping for them to appear in every episode lol, keep this up and i will start begging the author to put some side story featuring those three Quote:
So i take it there is no quest so they just do the normall kill stuff, like trying to reach max level in FF 14 without using quest then. Taking hardcore levelling to next level |

For comparison, Shiroe's been playing on and off since middle school. It's likely that he's been at level 90 for a while though, because much like Naotsugu he stopped playing for maybe a year, and only logged in to view the new content.
And yes, Elder Tales is based on old-style MMOs like Everquest, where grinding literally was a grind.

Actually its explained in season 1.
Its not old school or new type or whatever. You can level very fast as problem by newbie campaigns that give exp pots. Almost all MMOs the last 10% of cap is super slow. You can say the new cap of 90% of the MMOs out there has as much xp as the entire old cap. That's normal. What isn't normal is there is a large time dialation since being trapped inside elder tales. If a day is 1 hr in real life, and you spent 24hrs to grind to a level then.... What if you are really spending a day in elder tales? Not quite true since xp is based on monster kills and skills and CD and combat hasn't expanded but remember the time to walk time between kills time it takes to pick up loot etc. Then you have lack of fairy rings. Took then 2 weeks to reach a raid dungeon..imagine the time to get to a camp spot for their levels. Finally no more side or main quests either. |

- you can get xp only by fighting monsters - you have to travel to reach the hunting ground, you can no longer just tp there - you must have supplies now, you can no longer just log off in a safe spot - it's harder to fight monster for players now that they "in the flesh" - being a old school MMORPG the xp curves is not linear, so gaining a level will take you lots of effort. Back to the episode: Another nice episode but i facepalmed hard when Akatuski was wondering what she was guarding Leynessia from -_-; I liked how they showed Souji darker side. |

And not just any monsters, monsters within five levels of you. EXP Pots could resolve that problem, but with the training camp, I'm pretty sure any of the beginners at the start of the series are well over level 30 by now, leaving nobody to receive EXP Pots.

In most cases, people would just escape to fight another day, but for this one they don't really have that option.
