This was a nice surprise. So far it has been the best thing I've seen of the shows I've watched.

New designs are hit and miss, with the biggest offender being the former leader of Debauchery Tea Part, Kaname. Not sure why the studio felt the need to increase her bust size so much.

The pacing certainly didn't waste any time in trying to show off what future holds for the series, but I felt it was a bit overwhelming and forced. I always like the steady build up of the plot as each episodes progresses and not being bombarded with flash previews. It might have been better to save it for the end instead of the beginning of the episode.

Hopefully the pacing will get better by next episode. Still an enjoyable episode.

Considering anime seems to plan adapt Go west side story, I wonder if they decid tie both plot threads together. It would be nice see Kaname interact with Shiroe for bit.

I'm still excited enough about log horizon coming back that I didn't mind the atrocious animation. Obviously the budget for this one is quite low, but then again I've always watched this one for the glasses adjusting scenes plot and not the character designs.

That's a different Kanami. Remember that Kanami is a Swashbuckler. Now why do you think she'd suddenly start fighting with fists?

Because her class changed to Monk when she changed servers and had to start over after she left Japan.

IIRC, she deleted her character when she moved overseas. She came back to Elder Tales maybe because she missed the game and heard about the update, and for that she had to reroll. Then the Catastrophe happened.

I definitely prefer the character style of the first season. Story seems interesting though!

teasery episode with jumping plots....

I could see Akatsuki is going to have many up-down in this season from the opening
meanwhile, Shiroe is going to do some 'secret' business which would make Round Members become speechless if he succeeded

Well, I can be enthusiastic for next episode but actually I don't really like if they have two-focused story (Shiroe and Akatsuki). I prefer if they are focusing in one problem first

anyway, I like new design.. I think the quality is upgraded a little bit

Some parts of the animation look pretty good, but others are totally DEEN QUALITY. Still, the animation quality is really low budget compared to the other shows we're getting this season, which makes it much more noticeable than when S1 aired last year.
