Man those are great pics, and the parodies are a great laugh. After seeing the "Neon Genesis ga Miteru" parody and the thread mentioned under it, something crazy popped in my mind and I was somehow driven into making this (not exactly stellar work, as I'm a novice at drawing - I ripped a couple of shots from the scene in Ep 4 mentioned in the said thread and these are the results).

Probably because the image of a rabbit fits Shimako pretty well, for better or for worse, just like Yumi is a dog, Yoshino is a cat and Sei is a fox. Shimako is generally quiet and gentle, and gives the impression that if she were about to be hit by a car, she would stand there frozen in the headlights.

Actually, according to most fanart, I believe Yumi is portrayed as a racoon. ^^;
I don't really know where the anthropomorphic obsession with those three started, but it's become quite a cult thing (mostly in the futabas n' such).

OMG, I've been lurking around this thread for ages though I stopped watching the show, but that is so HILARIOUS!!! Because of the stupid ENGRISH! XD!!! "Now in happy" XD!!!
