And that little girl can see them as clearly as Miko-chan? Wow, girl is superbrave to not just cry all the time. I'd be a mental wreck after a day of seeing things like that.

I fear that the little girl is a ghost too. The writer isn't joking when he said "difficult spike" there.

Now she can't even tell apart a living being or supernatural beings.

Hospitals ARE scary...yes. But they are not quiet or deserted at night like that. that's my one issue with this...they stay busy busy busy!! All the time! At least in America....?

I once had to stay at one for a week. Nurses are always popping in and out to prick you, take blood, check your temperature all hours of day and night. So it's really not as lonely as books and movies portray it. There was also a private toilet in my room so no need to go searching like Miko is here.

(of course this is all changed due to Rule of Scary)

I think the mom and daughter are normal humans :O

True. The hospital I went before from midnight until morning to watch my family members in the past, there were so many lights up, nurses, guard and doctors walking around the lobby and a lot of patient families were waiting or walking in the hospital. It almost feels like daytime in the hospital.

I wonder, maybe the Japanese Hospital was like that? To save electric cost?

The one night I spent in the hospital they wouldn't let me sleep but then the next day between 9am and noon it was impossible to find anybody. Night or day doesn't matter for what Miko sees but 10 am isn't really intimidating either.

I can't say too much about Japan but the US is well known for doing way more tests than are actually necessary due to how insurance and Medicare works.

The idea of having to stay at a hospitals got a whole lot scarier thanks to this series... I like how the two big ghosts communicated with one another, clearly basically threatening and taunting one another over their hospital territory.
