Why did Zoro start training with a 3rd sword? (instead of continuing with only 2)

close but not quite. That would be the reason why he took Kuina's old sword, not the reason why he started training with a 3rd sword.

When Kuina died, Zoro asked his sensei Kuina's sword (which's the Wadou Ichimoni, the only sword which survived Mihawk's battle) to master a 3-sword style and become stronger.

This is the answer you wanted, Zoro-san?

lol... i think u guys are reading my question wrong.

There was a reason why he started training with 3 swords instead of two. He asked for Kuina's sword to carry both their will, however, that wasnt the reason he started the santoryu style. I think u guys got it confused because, he offcially started using 3 swords after he recieved that sword..... but it wasnt the reason why he decided on the santoryu.

Ill give u a hint!! He decided to train w/ 3 swords BEFORE Kuina died.

tats right. I dont remember in the manga, but in the anime he says...

"I have to TRAIN TRAIN TRAIN! If two swords arent enough, ill just use more swords!"
(this was when hes training right before he finds out that Kuina is dead)

Don't remember what was Chopper's and Robin's, but here it is anyways:

Luffy- to become the Pirate King.
Zoro- to become the greatest swordsman in the world.

Chopper- to make the ultimate medicine.
