Actually, I find the way he talks to people interesting in general. Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't calling everyone by family name without honorifics balancing in some weird level between distance and somewhat rude familiarity? The fact that he doesn't change the pattern at all no matter who he's talking to (except his sisters for obvious reasons) is also interesting.

Calling Hitagi by her first name without the san, is as good as proposing. All they have to do is set the wedding date.

Everything else is fair game.

Including the nickname Gahara-san, which he settles into calling her.

This [dd] sub keeps referring Kanbaru as "senior". Kouhai should be "junior" if I recall.

Otherwise 10/10 on this one. Senjougahara ... err . . .Hitagi is what makes this show awesome. Chiwa Saito's cut, dry delivery and straightforwardness delivers each awkward line in a fascinating way. Shaft also took great care to animate nearly every voiced line compared to Koyomi.

This was also a decent way to end the television airing of the show. Some repetitiveness in the animation and limited scenery due to most of the story taking place in her dad's car is alright based on how previous episodes. Certainly, it did not falter like episode 10.

a great episode... It makes me want to fall in love with hitagi. too bad I can't be araragi. this episode is definitely the best bakemonogatari episode.

AHAHA... Otoosan! Otoosan! Senjougahara is just awesome. So glad she is back, missed the damn character quite a bit. Guess I picked up the series at the right time. She's so authoritative and manipulative (all in a good way), display of experience without any experience at all, it all adds up to one strangely cute character.

Car was great... yeah definitely great. Oh yeah, about what happen at the end... about bloody time! Wait wait, I/we didn't see anything O_o

Finished with sub. This is truly magnificent. Senjougahara... Oh no I mean Hitagi I think that we can see her blush for the first time. She is amazing as usual. It looks like she knows that some audiences still doubt about her relationship. So she decide to pull the stunt once again.

What a romantic episode. This is the best episode I've ever seen in any love comedy/drama series. At last a unique, wonderful and touching series that doesn't rely on tragedy elements like death or heartbroken etc... A truly breath of fresh air. Thank you Shaft for animating Bakemonogatari.

Hitagi finally reappears this episode. It was a really good episode, but it felt like they just inserted the episode here to end the TV episodes in a "good way" instead of just continuing the arc and cutting it halfway...
I actually ended up liking Hitagi's father more than Hitagi herself... Otou-san... (´；ω；｀)

Kind of laughed when the episode connected with Mani Mani though...

It was a good episode, anyways. Left everything for the actual arc open though...

This episode is based on chapter 3 of the Tsubasa Cat arc and Koyomi, Hitagi, and Hitagi's dad are the only characters in the chapter. The entire Bakemonogatari series is about Koyomi and his growth so while each arc focuses on a different girl, the underlying story is Koyomi's. Their relationship also plays a huge part in this arc.

For a change, I watched the raw version and although 99% of the dialog escaped me, I could follow what was going on. What a wonderful performance by Saitou Chiwa. She has a way of saying "I don't like it" so that it is universally understood. Very nice episode!
