My understanding is that they really have to jump ahead to even reach the ending, so I'm not sure if they'll even do that.

This season is going to be a mess. They'll going to skip sub-plots from the manga out of the anime and rushed through everything in order to deliver a conclusion.

What's the point at continuing an anime if it's source material been finished for almost year.

Far as I can tell no one is quite sure how they're going to handle this season. I hope it turns out alright .

From the PVs, I can tell they will continue from where Season 1 left off with Chapter 33. The furthest the PVs have shown is Chapter 47 if I'm not mistaken. That would be around Episode 5-6 of the season.

The safe bet is assuming that they will cover till Chapter 68 and that's it. No matter how much I would appreciate an alternate ending, 99.99% they will just end it openly, read the manga. But to be fair, everything that comes after is utter dogshit.

As for a full adaptation, they don't necessarily need it. Season 2 got announced only a month after Season 1 ended, when the hype was overwhelming. 1.5 years later the interest in the anime itself has dwindled. KanoKari got a Season 2, the manga is still ongoing. Kanojo mo Kanojo got an anime, the manga is still ongoing. Kakkou is waiting for its anime, so WSM is full of potential romcom successes. If Bibury wants a name for itself, they may as well animate the rest of the manga, but I have doubts of Kodansha forcing a full adaptation at this point.

Just saw the first episode on TV.

Aye, the girls visits Fuutarou Uesugi as he catches a cold and we reintroduced to the colorful cast again. It's really great to see everyone back and their personalities are as how I remember from the previous season.

Didn't take long for Fuutarou to accidentally walk into one of them after getting out of the shower.

I'd say the first episode still maintained a solid amount of character chemistry and reactions. Very entertained so far.
