There you go! Enjoy! (STILL WORK IN PROGRESS)
[...] /Work in progress (end) Was finden wir jenseits dieses Horizontes? ----------------- ENGLISH TRANSLATION Work in progress (start) Why was no one worried in the time of peace? And now again we witness once again: they have been victorious, we have lost We always witness the victor, they obtained victory once again They have won, we have lost, again and again being inferior to them We've got enough, we've got enough, we've got enough of those titans! /Work in progress (end) Is that the destroyer? Or the creator? With the heat of our hate we will wield our swords (Is that the destroyer? Or the creator? With the heat of our hate we will wield our swords) Is that our fate? Or our will? We will fight until our wings are picked up by this hot wind (Is that our fate? Or our will? We will fight, as always) The earth is roaring and becomes red The people remember that tragedy Is that the destroyer? Or the creator? With the heat of our hate we will wield our swords Is that our fate? Or our will? We will fight until our wings are picked up by this hot wind Work in progress (start) We are here to fight titans! [...] /Work in progress (end) (PART MISSING) What will we find beyond that horizon? In the great wilderness (INCOMPLETE) behind the wall, there I want to be! --- I made some grave mistakes with this, so it is back to "work in progress".

Yes I agree. So epic that I pulled an all-nighter to "exctract" the lyrics... manually
Best part is when "Ist das der ZERSTÖRER? Oder der SCHÖPFER?" (2:25) kicks in. Can't get enough of this song

I just got to hear this and I'm honestly amazed. I knew this was going to be a good one, but I didn't think it would be this good. It's incredibly rare I listen to a ost and find I like every single song on it, I'm even a bit of a fan of the composer in general and this is rare even for him to leave me feeling like this. This tops Guilty Crown for me.
Favorite tracks would be 1, 2, 5, 7, 8, 10, 11, and 15. 7 in particular to me is simply stunning, and it perfectly goes from heavenly melody to brutal tragedy over the course of the six minutes, I was simply entranced by it when I first played it. Really touching stuff. All up this soundtrack has left me very pleased. |

I'm sorry, but this soundtrack did nothing for me. Maybe it's because I've listened to all of Hiroyuki Sawano's anime soundtracks already, but nothing I hear from this OST is anything new from him. Usually that's not a bad thing, as was the case with Guilty Crown or most of Yuki Kajiura's works, but almost every song on this album sounds like a really bad blend between his usual "epic" music and some generic electronic or rock music. The only exception to this are the vocal tracks, which aren't some sloppy medley like the rest, but still nothing new from Sawano. There were two or three songs I liked, but the sheer number of bad songs overpowered the whole album. I personally think this is Sawano's most mediocre soundtrack since his "Zombie Loan" days. I wish he would give us something more like the Ao no Exorxist OST; diverse sounding, yet still retaining the same incredible amount of emotion and energy in each song without being repetitive.

Been waiting for the bloody soundtrack. Finally.
Favorite has to be Reluctant Heroes or as I call it, Levi's entrance music. Quote:
Still better than the radio. Sad, but anime music does more for me than current mainstream music in the US nowadays (died for me since 05). Or I'm just wicked old. |
