You know, just put the trolls in your ignore list and all is done.
As for the giant at the end, he is talking about puting Subaru to "sleep" like his daughter, and if this is his idea of puting someone to sleep, we can asume say daughter is death now.

As several others have said at this point, HOLY CRAP! That was an incredibly intense episode, and ended with what I'm assuming is Puck in his "true form". Would make sense: he loves Emilia as a daughter and when she dies he goes @$%$#@%#!
My only problem is that this seems to be a bit too short of a jump. I mean, how long did the catboy keep him before declaring him incurable? Once they gave up they went straight home and didn't make it in time. Is it even possible for Subaru to make it back to the village before the Cult gets there? Or did the witch just turn exceptionally sadistic and put Subaru in a position where there'd never be any way for him to save everyone? I know he's going to wind up saving Emilia, but if Petra and Ram and all the others are doomed to such a hellish death regardless of his actions I'm going to be seriously angry. Also, HOLY CRAP ON A CRACKER, that Betelgeuse guy is SCARY, and seriously messed up. I suspect this guy's rather representative of the cult, which is really scary. Kind of interesting to see his obsession with the Sins and use of magic supposedly connected to them. I'd guess this is due to Satella consuming the other Witches' magic? She gained powers connected to all the sins? I wonder what sort of powers come from jealousy. Either way, I really hope Subaru gets to kill Betelgeuse in this arc. I don't want to have to deal with that freak for the whole story (I know that this arc is expected to last to the end of the current season, but I'm hoping there'll be a new season, this one without Hell's Gumby). |

Look at that scene again, the one at the end with the giant form at the back. Now zoom the scene and look at his ear, you can see there a form of a ring and that's the same ring Puck use in his normal form.
So yeah, he's Puck and his "daughter" must be Emilia. |

I assumed they simply didn't bother showing how Felix healed Subaru's Gate which should have taken some amount of time as well. Also there must be a faster way back to the mansion. They can't really fly like Roswaal, but maybe they could do something about that White Whale that they mentioned before which blocks the shortest way with its fog. It might be possible if Subaru is able to wind up with enough help.

Well, I guess we have to sit back and wait for next week and see how Subaru wants to tackle this problem. |

He looks like Barbas from Skyrim or something. Not exactly the image I had of innocent little Puck.

That was Puck huh? I actually thought it was related to Rem since he was carrying her at the time. It being Puck makes complete sense, though.
I was thinking that with 4 days advance Subaru would easily have enough time to get them before everyone is killed. After this episode though, he's probably come to the realization that he can't do anything by just charging over. I have no idea exactly what he can do though. It looks like what Rem felt from Ram really was her dead. Quote:

A very intense episode. I'm still waiting for Subaru to show some type of power to allows him to fight. Even Sloth seems to have some telekinetic powers.
If Subaru is Pride, and there is a Sloth, then I guess there will be 5 other individuals who will make up the 7 Deadly Sins. So how will he defeat Betelgeuse Romanee-Conti? I'm guessing he will have to eventually ask the help of those in the castle he is currently staying at.

Finally, the show returns back to form at a critical moment. Pacing is back to normal, along with the direction and quality of animation! Everything was splendidly done in the most horrific way. The voice acting was just absolutely perfect, props to Matsuokaoa Yoshitsugu for playing the role of the Arch Bishop of the Witch's Cult. His over the top acting was just the best person they could have gone with with someone so unhinged as Betelgeuse.
But I have to admit that even Subaru's pathetic behavior got sympathy out of the Arch Bishop. Man, to be pitied by the enemy, that has got to be the worst. But the Arch Bishop just points out the weakness of Subaru that everyone one else in the show has been doing the past couple of episodes. He's helpless, weak, and unable to do anything. Is that beast Puck!? I wonder what kind of spirit is he!? He's supposed to be a regular spirit right? Is he some sort ancient king spirit? That just raises more questions on his origin and how he came to be with Emilia. Looks like the fires of vengeance has been lit in Subaru's eyes in the end. Looks like he finally motivated, for better or worse, to do something about it.

Another thing that's interesting, seems Reinhard and Wilhelm share the same name, "van Astrea". I guess its possible they're related unless the name has some other meaning. Completely missed the connection until now.

Wow, I knew the cult was a bunch of wackos, but the introduction of this arcs villain brings it to a whole nother level. The guy is so crazy that he felt insulted by Subaru's low level of mental break down.
I'm not liking how the witch's power/aura/smell is getting even intensely stronger now after his deaths. I mean Rem can literally see if just radiating off of him now like some black smoke. It is not a good sign as he may just start turning into something else. Man, I believe Puck is mad at Subaru? I mean the guy killed Subaru twice and every time he sounded as if he was disappointed with him.
