To be fair, the fight between Bazz and Yugo IS a poor time to give us a flashback about Yama vs Yhwach. A flashback like should come during or right before the fight with Yhwach.

You actually expected that to be? This flashback was for the Bazz-Yugo fight, which is why it was so pointless. At least with the Espada, Aizen hadn't reached full power when the Espada were still in the conflict. With this, Ywach has already become God or King or whatever, the Sternritters don't matter anymore. They are no longer the relevant threat.

The only MAYBE important thing that could be taken from this is that MAYBE Yugo's power could play a role against Ywach MAYBE. (A very big maybe) Otherwise, he's just filler for someone to defeat, so we can get to the real threat; Ywach.

I like these flashbacks these side characters get to flesh them out. It's become a trait of Kubo's storytelling lol. I look at them as mini stories and I feel less disappointed

me too. the flashbacks have been my favorite part of the arc so far. I wish there were more and that some happened sooner in the story. This fight and backstory were very good. It wasn't close, but the emotion was on point for a classic bleach fight. Had I known more about Bazz B from the start, I might actually have cared about him losing.

I actually did like the flashback and I will admit I got some feels from this chapter.

I was hoping we'd get more than 'YWACH IS GOD. HEIL YWACH. FUCK EVERYONE NOT A QUINCY CAUSE YWACH IS THE BESTEST GAWD EVER SO BYE.' Whatever. Maybe my girl Jizzy will hump Mohawk back to life like she did to Bambi, Whitey, Matsu and the failzards.


Now Kubo needs to pull what Gorilla sensei just did and kill off someone. Put Chado out of his misery already.

The last few chapters have been surprisingly interesting, given that it's been a while since I gave a crap towards any of the new characters (since the Hueco Mundo arc). But the relationship between Jugo and BuzzB turned out to be interesting. It might have been because Kubo looked like he actually spent time on the detail and artwork for once; you know, instead of the usual glossy, black blobs on a white background... Wonder if Jugo's going to be another Gin -- getting close to whatshisname to kill him -- or if he really killed BB.
