-That being said, am I the only one peeved that Konan died without losing her Akatsuki cloak? I mean, I know I'm being petty, but this was the best opportunity to showcase the "real" Konan that lies under that cloak. Yeah I know one of the artbooks shows it, but this would have been a bit more significant time to have it presented.

Kishi could pull an Alice Cooper on us and make a Cold Ethyl out of Konan...Completely wrong, but completely acceptable, if remotely allowed...After all, necro is a recurring theme that runs around the Three Ameskateers...So what's in a moral anyway? There's no one alive to care if the dead's diary is looked at...

But of course I wouldn't condone it, I'm just presenting it...

Well there could a twist, Madara could have given his eyes to Nagato, not his brother's. Used Nagato as a petri dish body to nurture life back into his original set of eyes.
Or perhaps he needed a substitute, another Rikudou beside himself to be used for something he wouldn't do, we know he wanted Nagato to use Rinne Tensei for something.

Been a while since I posted anyway I like Madara's new look. I wanted Konan to live, but having her die directly by the hand of Madara gives him villain credibility. I pray Kishi does not take Madara down the path of Aizen. In Bleach Aizen went from a bad ass villain into and overpowered butterfly (shakes head). It seems we get to see some more Madara fighting and some Kabuto action. Does anyone know where I can read the translated script form of each chapter ?

Awww... KonanxYahiko. So cute. One of the few confirmed pairings this manga has.

I like how he implied it without drawing it, edging closer to each other. That was really sweet.

Agreed. Kakashi also said (not that he could know such info) that the Rinnegan is just a mutation. Moreover, it seemed like Nagato as a child didn't know himself why he had the Rinnegan. If Madara had literally given them to him, he would have known. Which is why I think that Madara set things up before Nagato's birth, either according to the mutation theory in the quote, or just because a Senju and an Uchiha had a child. But in that case, Nagato's parents must be a Senju and an Uchiha, which is fine, because in the anime his mom had red hair and his dad black. But then, they were so easily killed by two Konoha shinobi using kunai. I don't know about his mother, but is it really possible for an Uchiha to get beat so easily?

As for Madara's mask, it appears like the bottom tomoes are his eye-holes, then the big dot in the middle is where his forehead is, and the top tomoe is where his hair starts. I liked the previous mask better, but this is okay too.

Exactly. The Rinnegan is a legend. There's no reason to believe what he said.

Depends entirely on whether he gave them by implanting them or through other means.

They could just be adoptive parents. I don't think the parents are a dead-end in itself. Kishi can give us any explanation he wants to justify Nagato having the Rinnegan without knowing they came from Madara.

You gotta give it to Kishi, he sure knows to write a story, even for the side characters. It's sad and yet fulfilling to see the Yahiko, Konan, and Nagato trio come to full circle and then to a close. Having Jiraiya included in the mix is just icing to the cake that adds just that bit more refined tearjerker touch.

As for Madara, his new mask looks much cooler... although his goal of going after the nine-tails now raises red death flags for him. It makes me wonder though about the roles that Sasuke and Kabuto's role will play. I can smell betrayal in the air... but who will come out on top?

Kishi stated in a confirmed interview that the last fight would be that of sasuke vs naruto... I know this is very sadding as a lot of people would rather see Naruto + sasuke vs Madara... But apparently its gonna be Naruto vs Madara and then Naruto vs sasuke...

@ shiryuu Madara is not including sasuke in this because he still doesn't fully trust him and because he is recuperating from his eye surgery

Spoiler for Spoiler: It is sad that Konan died but at least she got a moving flashback with her and her two dear friends. It was a nice little send off for the three. As for Madara and his crew, did anybody else found themselves chuckling when Zetsu proclaimed that everything was going their way. In all technicalities, Madara does not even have enough members to call Atkustki an organization any more. This is pretty much Kabuto’s play since he has the majority of the members in his possession and has his own agenda to be working for Madara for any length of time. Also, Madara just sacrificed one of his more loyal subordinates just to obtain that info.
