^ they're re-editing shadow of colossus already? isn't it a little too early for that? i mean it's only been 5-7 years since this game came out for the ps2 and everytime I play the game it feels it's on par against any game in the ps3 in terms of graphics...

Team Ninja announced Ninja Gaiden III? Wow, thats pretty cool, hope they reveal that it's multiplatform from the start.
Valkyria Chronicles 3 on PSP? Bad news? I don't think so, for me anyway. I have a PSP so I'll be enjoying that game thank you very much. But I can understand the hate around the net, I would choose a wide-screen TV over portable screen any day.

Ninja Theory seriously needs to rethink their marketing strategy, they need to hire a freaking consultant.
They're a very small developer with great potential and a very admirable vision about story telling, but they have horrible planning. First of all if you're a new developer with little money, you probably shouldn't develop an big budget exclusive title for PS3. Because it's exclusive you're not going to sell a lot, and because it's big budget you're taking a big risk on a new IP. You know it isn't going to sell a lot in the first place because it is a launch game too. The result is that they didn't get any profit from Heavenly Sword...wonderful. So now they're developing Enslaved. Although Ninja Theory did manage to build itself a fanbase, the fanbase is tiny and most gamers don't exactly like Ninja Theory because of pre-determined bias against Heavenly Sword (God of War clone as well as too short, good things not enough to overcome the bad things), Enslaved is up against a tough battle. It's going to be hard for them to regain confidence from the gamers. Just when Enslaved is getting some good press, and people are starting to see that it's actually an interesting game. They release a trailer for DMC, a complete reboot of the Devil May Cry franchise, JUST BEFORE the launch of their own IP. This is probably going to throw a lot of freaking fans out of their chair. First of all, it doesn't matter if DMC ends up being a great game, this is a horrible business strategy. Gamers who put two and two together and connect DMC, Ninja Theory, to Enslaved are just going to lose faith in their product. Devil May Cry was a great franchise, DMC4 had story elements that weren't even explained yet. Now we get a reboot...okay Devil May Cry's story is cheesy and stupid anyway so that isn't really the main problem. The problem is transforming Dante's character, one of the major selling points of the franchise was Dante himself. His style, his look, his cocky loveable cheesy-ness. He might still be cocky, but he is over the edge rockstar emo british skinny dude now...way to throw fans out of the window. They could've announced at another time or even fix up his character design, but this is seriously bad news for Enslaved sales....and I'm actually excited for that game. Gosh. |

i want to see what RPGs they're releasing for iphone/ipt. having recently invested in an ipt4, i want something that's not dodonpachi to bide my time. preferably full length rpgs.
this, and Zone of the Enders 3 for ps3. come on Kojima.
