I haven't commented on music yet lol.
Anyways, I like the OP, but more the animation than the song. It was really cool and showcases the characters really well. I like the ED better. The song is really really good, and the scenes, while simple, are cute. Kuroko looking up at Mikoto while they're walking is somehow relaxing. I'd have to say the animation and music matches very well, even at the ending. I didn't really like the PVs though. The OP was kinda weird in a way and the ED was too happy happy.

Just caught that live PV of the OP. The song itself is a perfect OP-type song, especially for this show. I liked fripSide's work for Koihime Musou, too.
But the big deal for me was seeing Nanjou Yoshino there. I had no idea she was now in fripSide, or that she could sing that way. I did know she was that attractive, though. I may be one of about three people who really liked her as Koko in DC2. I think lots of people liked her as Maria in Canaan. @Joe_fh: Both OP and ED are officially out Wednesday, which means they are in some stores either already or on Tuesday.

The OP seems to be made specifically For Railgun, though the chorus could have told me that from the actual show. Um, it was interesting to see live action versions of Kuroko and Misaka, as well as those other esper powers. Um, does anyone have any idea who the others were, or were they just generic people?

Yes the PV is unusual, but very good. Nice to see the characters being cosplayed. I even spotted Uiharu!
No Saten I know... They saved the Railgun for the last. If it weren't so cheesy looking it would've been perfect!

Although, I honestly think the cheesy effects come with the territory. After all, it's hard to do effects like Railgun and the neon tube (I have to admit that I lol'ed IRL after reading that...) without looking like it was ripped from a B-side movie. I'm not sure how big the budget for a PV is on average, but it probably isn't too large.

Congratulations to fripSide (and to Railgun in general) for having the OP debut in the music charts at #6 (2009.11.02).
NOTE: Official release date was 2009.11.04, but the songs released that day were already in the charts two days before. They actually reach some big stores before the Wednesday, and the charts are based either on sales at those stores or even on pre-sales, not sure.

I always wonder what was the singer saying in the English verse in "Only my Railgun" but Ayako came up with what i believe was the best translation.

Lol, I'm already adjusting myself to the original and official lyrics even if Ayako subs make it sound better, but nah, if you listen really carefully, the official lyrics actually fit through the song... it's hard to get a first... but you'll get used to it... Just keep listening to it repeatedly while having the original lyrics in front of you... the adjustment will come through. XD
(listening to Eurobeat music also gives you an advantage for troublesome song verses/words too XD) |

There was a surprisingly big fuss (rather, gag?) over the net about the OP PV, so I went to look at it, but... The bizarreness was one thing, but that magician with that ear completely killed my stomach. And so, a new joke about the PV was born... Who would have though... Not only was there a magic side and science side, but a magic (as in, tricks-type magic) side too?! For more info: http://dic.nicovideo.jp/a/%E5%A5%87%...82%A4%E3%83%89 You need to know Japanese though. Had a good laugh.
