My favourite chunnibiyou edgelord is back!

Pretty high octane start to the season. I've been playing the mobile game, and I'm glad we get to see some Claire action this season, and starting her with a bang at that. I find their sibling relationship to be rather amusing(which you get to see more of in the game), but getting to see her in action is certainly a plus. Lots of new characters too.

Has Cid found a new love after Aurora(obv I use love in the strictest Cid sense of the word

)? Seems like Mary comes equipped with either a blood sword or slime sword; clearly of vampire origins in typical Vampire Hunter D fashion. It was funny how she basically did the shadowbroker thing by saying a super cool, shadowbroker-type line, and how Cid was so giddy about it, he ran around and used those lines throughout the episode. I wouldn't be surprised if he only saved those people just to say that line over and over

. Will be waiting enthusiastically for the next episode =03.

Oh, he totally only saved them just for an excuse to say the line. The best part is when Marie actually tried talking to him he just regurgitated it again instead of saying anything else

That was a strong start albeit requires people to watch S1 beforehand, fair enough.

NGL, Sugita sounds great leaving 'smart but not all-knowing' impression within a minute, I guess his role as Asuka helped a bit.

If what you meant is completion speed, not really, that still depends on studio connection and resource allocated by committee.
I doubt Eminence on significantly higher pedestal compare to common LN adaptation; my guess is they're using extra fund from Master of Garden similar to how Fate franchise anime and events nowadays more or less fueled by money from their gacha games.

Quite the nice view ! The man, the myth, the legend has returned...The Eminence in Shadow! And now he's addressing his fellow LARP...I mean, Shadow Garden organization and making all the ladies think they smell while also jumping on a convenient red moon and the smell of money as an excuse to go have some fun in the Lawless City. But hey, Zeta finally gets screentime/dialogue and we even get more Eita. Also Beta scribbling her latest Shadow chapter as we speak . Oh hey, Goldy and Quinton! These two numbskulls are back to slay a vampire queen. Too bad they ran afoul of her White Devil bodyguard and ended up sold into slavery. Cid didn't even recognize them completely. Also it sounds like Skel was going to join them ? Sorry Imatry Nottaloos, but Claire won the tournament! I'm glad Cid was able to treat her to a nice dinner, but if his sister is going to travel to a city to kill some vampires, she's going to drag her brother along with him so she can help boost up his job prospects. Not that Cid is all that fussed about what his civilian identity does, but Claire really wants the best for her brother even if she has to drag him everywhere ! Oh hey, Rose's wanted poster! Cid eating reminded me of the fabled burger wrapper . When the Blood Moon arises, the Ghouls act out, and Cid is perfectly fine watching a zombie outbreak happen but when a fancy redheaded female vampire hunter named Mary (Ai Kakuma!) slays some Ghouls and drops the perfect vampire hunter lines, Cid knows what he's got to do (and say) . Lucky for that dude who was in the middle of banging a Ghoul that Claire was ticked off about her brother enough to save him to get info . Count on Po and Skel to be visiting a pleasure quarter to get laid or Po abandoning Skel at the first opportunity. At least it looked like Skel was about to be bitten by a zombie hooker . I'm glad Cid saved the naked hooker Marie and that bespectaled director of the Knights Association. Even if it was just so he could drop Mary's lines like he came up with them, saving waifu's is always a worth cause ! I love how Claire is so brokenhearted over Cid dying....and it's not even Cid. Oh well, now she's on a quest with Mary to slay the Blood Queen Elisabeth and save Cid so that'll at least keep her involved in the plot ! So we've got Crimson voiced by Tomokazu Sugita trying to revive the Vampire Queen, Kitsune Yukime voiced by Shizuka Ito who has her own domain, and Tsyusohi Koyama as Juggernaut who also has his own domain and is always geared for a fight, even with Yukime. This is the perfect sandbox for Shadow to play in. But wait, Shadow Garden is there? Is that...Rose!? Or 666 !? New OxT OP! Showing Cid's journey as the Eminence in Shadow and all the people he's met along the way, complete with getting hit buy his truck and moving forward from the Seven Shades ! __________________
