Welp, not expected Kuon suddenly backstabbed them but that explained why he smiled in OP during part that seems highlighting Wanima twins.
The reason is understandable too. There's no guarantee they will keep winning especially when there's still Team V that haven't lose a single match while Team Z pretty much doomed if they defeated once more. So the best solution he came up with is making deal with opponent team, securing himself with MVP system which explained opponent GK lack of awareness. Dirty but only as long opponent is roughly on similar level. Stronger team naturally wouldn't care to something like that.

I find funny that they make this amazing players that look cool and feel like they can't be beaten like team V.
But we should think that group 5 is the worst of all blue lock. I doubt we will see the other groups this season but oh well. |

Not to mention Team V is last match to decide whether Team Z make it to next stage or not.

Barou it's portrayed as a true monster, the same as nagi but still they are in the lower ranking of the blue lock. I can't imagine the others.
Mmm it doesn't look good for team Z but they have to pull it off since they are the protagonists. Kuon will be involved in the win I'm sure. |

Funny the way Japan is doing in this year’s World Cup. They lost to the lowest ranked team in the group. Against both the two strongest teams in the group, Japan was losing at first but managed to turn things around and won. My prediction is that after barely passed the group stage and win against the previous runner up, they make it to the top 8 for the first time but there they lose by one goal difference to Brazil who will end up being this year’s winner. All these look like something that would happen in anime/manga.

Definitely enjoying this series.
From looking at the intro, I can figure that by the end of this arc, Isagi, Bachira, Chigiri, and Kunigami will end up together. The question is, how do they get there. Also, their fifth will probably be Barou instead of Nagi, with Nagi joining as the 6th. Without looking at spoilers, I tried to see how this result could end up taking place. So here goes: Round 1: Isagi, Bachira, & Nagi vs Team #1 => Lose Nagi to Team #1 Chigiri, Kunigami, & filler vs Team #2 => Lose Kunigami to Team #2 Round 2: Isagi & Bachira vs Chigiri & filler => Win Chigiri Round 3: Isagi, Bachira, & Chigiri vs Team #2 (who lost in 4 member round) => Win Kunigami Round 4: Isagi, Bachira, Chigiri, & Kunigami vs Team Barou => Win Barou Move on to next stage. Of course, Kunigami and Chigiri can interchange in the above scenario, and the protagonist team could face team Barou in the 3 vs 3 instead of 4 vs 4, flipping the orders around. I don't expect Nagi to return until they face off against Team #1 for the second time. There is also Itoshi Sae, the professional player, who will be searching for his "partner" at some point.

Ok, I really hate this main character, it's like he takes one step forward and ten steps back the second one thing goes wrong and he starts giving up, EVERY, SINGLE, TIME.
I know he's supposed to be the underdog, but damn is he annoying as hell.

Well... ok, that was unexpected... that they tooko Bachira, that is. When an anime introduces a scenario where the protagonist is able to lose but continue on (lower bracket of 2 vs 2), then the protagonist will always lose in these competitive animes. So losing was absolutely expected. It's just, taking Bachira was so unexpected, although it makes sense. It was unexpected in that you expect Bachira and Isagi to always be together. Now, this has absolutely broken up my predictions, so I guess the story did its part to make things unpredictable. In an anime where everyone possesses supernatural abilities like in Super Dodgeball, it's expected that the top guy is over the top over everyone else. The only thing that is tough in these types of animes is that every time someone else who is more powerful comes along, they weaken the protagonist's ability just to make the new person seem that much more powerful. It is a bit annoying in these tropes, but it is expected all the same.

To be fair it sensible given Bachira easily the most valuable person from their team.
His pass is great, his dribbling is top tier. Rin, Aryu and Tokimitsu won't get anything from Nagi and Isagi as their scoring ability is already better being No. 1, 2 and 3 of Second Stage. Even if Nagi shown great scoring ability, he didn't have deal breaker to Rin's brain, Aryu heights and Tokimitsu muscle; still put him on liabilities compare to Bachira who is easy plug-in to any team. Not really, what I saw just a curve drive shot and spatial knowledge 'hyped' in a way Kuroko positioning is treated like he's truly vanishing from anyone sight.

Isagi pretty much confirmed what made it possible is gap between Rin skill with others, even to Aryu and Tokimitsu. His debut kick is indeed too much but I found it acceptable with how he use the wall to reach necessary height for the first ball. If he did it consecutively without consideration to both of that, I will definitely consider this is belong to same group as Captain Tsubasa where skills were pulled with barely enough logics. So far it pretty much similar to Kuroko no Basket, normal moves hyped with aura and special names.
