TBH, don't much grasp on what from two episodes and while Saber is fine I really dislike how it feels like she is really just having a conversation with herself because the protag barely emotes. He also gets stabbed a lot and has lost enough blood to kill a normal person, but just acts fine.
Other than that this rather interesting marriage between Shaft's aesthetics and direction and Fate franchise. Through now it feels like monogatari show trying be a Fate one with much less interesting dialogue since it largely exposition. Still, I'm intrigued enough to see where will go. |

I can understand the personalitiy issues, but in the case of the quote, he's a Fate protag. Shirou gets his heart stabbed out and torn asunder by Berserker's sword in one route, stabbed multiple times by Archer in another, and everything in Heaven's Feel. Sieg gets ran through by a larger sword too after having his original heart busted up by Gordes. Blood-loss means nothing. I'd just chalk it up to him surviving like they did.

When I saw that classroom scene at the beginning of the first episode, my first thought was: "Wow, Fate-Monogatari!" The overall look, the way some characters cock their heads, the way the MC can take massive amounts of damage, it's all very gatari-like*. I just hope Saber doesn't turn into a donut-loving loli next. *Of course, there are other anime where the MC can shed gallons of blood and survive, but the style still reminds me of the gatari shows. Interesting that the "Ladder" turned out to be a TARDIS-like (bigger on the inside than on the outside) luxury elevator. When the police chicks first show up, they refer to the MC & Saber as "arrival 404", but how can that be if there are only 128 masters (+128 servants, for a total of 256)? When in the Mayor's office, all the police chicks stabbed the MC with swords, causing him to go into rage-mode (was that what saved him from all the stabbing in Episode 1?). But when they were escorting the MC to the office, it looked like at least one of them had a pistol. Whassup with that? If you look closely at Shinji's hand during the conversation with the MC, it looks like he's already used up 2 of his 3 command seals. I wonder if we'll see the story behind that? I also wonder how, Shinji managed to usurp control of an entire layer? I guess we'll find out in the next episode of Fate: Digimon .... Uhhh I mean Fate/Extra Last Encoregatari! I found an anime youtuber who has never played the games, which made me realise it's going to be interesting to see the reactions of people who don't know anything about what is going on.
I mean, it is an entirely surprising and new experience for those unfamiliar and familiar alike, but still the experience is slightly different for either of these groups. |

Speaking of Hakuno's blood loss.
I think his hp bar has been locked in a literal sense, because of "hatred". This is probably how he survived in the looping preliminary. The "hatred" continues to be self aware, and thus letting him to resist his deletion as a program. |

Well, the info dump this episode is certainly helpful.
At least it is made clear now that Buddha has overwrote the Se.Ra.Ph. using Chakravartin. And this probably all intentional considering that Twice is also involved in whatever Mapo was doing in the bottom floor. |

There were things I liked about the fight but also things I was underwhelmed by. In particular, the invincible armada of Rider didn't feel very invincible. I expected a bit more oomph from a high ranking servant. Her randomly running out of ammo also felt weird. I mean there was no doubt that Saber would win, but it felt rather cheap.

By the way part of the Golden Hind legend is the part it took against the spanish invincible armada (even if IRL the storms basically caused more damage to the spanish armada than the english).
Drake does not own the spanish armada About the running out of ammo issue, maybe Shinji did not fed her with enough cash so she splurged most of it on parties and booze instead on ammo |

The fight is really badly done, to the point of no sense.
Nero who has D in defense, got hit by Drake's A+ NP gead on and took no damage? At least let Nero get KOed and triggrt her guts ability okay??? Drake, who is EX rank in luck, EX rank I repeat, had her gun stuck up at a critical moment? Are you serious? And she is down in just one hit? This makes absolutely no sense. This is like one of the worst Fate fight ever. Sweet Moon Cell, I can't imagine what garbage Karna will be transformed into. Especially after his glorious display in Apo. Shouldn't drake be pretty weak compared to Nero just because of the strength and age of their legend? Drake is like 400 years old and nero is thousands.
He's probably going by FGO rarity (she's 5*) which is not related to their power level in canon at all. |

so this post is going to be a defense of nero surviving drake's noble phantasm and the fight ending the way it did, not the fight itself that was trash
okay so the more i thought about the fight the more certain things made sense because drake no longer is at full power before the fight started, and i am not talking about it's been a while since she fought, it's because drake and to a greater extent shinji are no longer wealthy during the fight, in Extra there was a point in the first match against shinji that we learn drakes strength is equal to the amount of wealth here and her master have so there is a point in which shinji hacks more treasure chests in the first dungeon and the player races against them to collect them, and what happens here the pretense of the city of wealth and prosperity that shinji owns to a drowned city of death as a result drake instead of being goes from being a high ranking servant to a low ranking one with all her attacks and skills suffering. The problem is the anime does not reference this at all and only the game players would have notice this and this is the anime's fault. but also cements the fact this is a psuedo sequel to extra and not an adaptation of it

i gonna say wtf is happening in the fate series?? it's looks like after the loli version we are getting only crap fates, the previous one while had potential it was wasted and horrible in a bad script, now it's looks like the same is happening again another bad "fate serie" just to "have a fate serie", serious if the level of the serie keep decreasing like that on each "new serie" then could much better don't really get new anime series if it's just about "milk money throwing" bad write series just for the sake of "money".
