It is about a mage that know a secret about the world where they are... quoting Shiroe, that is their world now.

Watching the newbies fail the dungeon is kinda pissing me off what with the stupid DPS. Doesn't help that the sister won't say anything about it either, that irks me quite a bit.

As someone whom mains healers in MMOs, its really too bad that they didn't just let the DPS pull, get horrifically killed, then resume pulling like normal to teach them a lesson.

Seems like aggro circles are gigantic though.

Because even if they respawn, seeing someone getting slaughtered for real is probably not that funny .
But yes of course that guy is annoying (I'm a healer player too, this doesn't help to calm myself), he is the incarnation of every DPS players in recent MMOs, they all think they can tank fine, especially if they wear cloth .

Thing is Log Horizon isn't an action series -- it's about a group of people trying to live in this strange world they're stuck in. Fights HAPPEN, sure, but they're not the focus of the series.

As for this episode, looks like Krusty's VA is channeling Griffith, with the way he plays around with Raynessia. XD

Who said anything about tanking? You just aren't healing properly! Gosh, do your job! Craptank/craphealer!

In Rudy's defense you'll note that after he yells at the rest of the party he then immediately goes into "I'm not good enough" mode so it seems he's lashing out of frustration rather than because he actually feels the rest of the party is crap.

Exactly. He's not a bad player refusing to accept responsibility for his behavior. He honestly doesn't understand what's going wrong and it frustrates him. He holds himself to the same standards he holds others. He's a genuinely good fellow.

Methinks its worse than that. He's holding everyone to his own dream standards of what Adventurers should be, like the guy who watches a few high-end raid vids and expects his guild to stroll through the raid and down the boss in one go. Because that's how his heroes did it.

Then reality smashed him in the face, and suddenly Rundelhauss's dejected face makes a lot of sense.

Well he's Rudie. He's a lot more innocent than people think. I'm not throwing out any major spoilers (I think) but as you said he's like a kid admiring his "heroes" and when he finally gets to be one he finds that it was not as glorious as he first thought. I don't think we can really fault him for that considering how little he knows about real "adventuring".

I couldn't stop grinning and giggling over this episode. I love how they managed to fit all the substance and subtle interactions into the various scenes. The musical cues to Raynesia and Krusty's conversations certainly gives a much lighter feeling than simply reading it.

They also got the other scenes like Minori and the B team's current debacle and the issue with the knights of Izumo.

Anyways, these three episodes (alongside the next one) are definitely one of my faves so far. Can't wait to see more.

For some reason, that sage named Regan looks like a real villain judging from his spectacular entry...

Anyways, hope that he's not a bad guy! And BTW, I love Krusty's scary glasses face when interacting with Raynesia.

I can't stop rewatching all of the princess' interactions with Krusty. She's just so adorable the whole time!

Agreed, I got a good laugh watching each of her reactions to Krusty. All in all this episode was very humorous.

That entrance by the mage at the end was also pretty epic.

Looking forward to next weeks episode.

newbie people aside this isn't a half hour dungeon. they have been in there days emotions run high and stressful if you were really there instead of a screen.

It also doesn't help their party is unbalanced. they have one thank 1 range 1 support and 2 healers. so even if you have a novice tank and a idiot mage there really should have been another melee to intercept.

there is such a thing as brute force tactic and they should be able to do it being 24/26 in a 17/21 dungeon Rudy isn't totally wrong.

I'll have to disagree with you here, Elder Tell seems to be a EQ like game, so if you get swarmed by lower level mobs you are still going down, especially since they are not overgeared or can not kite the mobs.

On other note from novel it's clear all of them make mistakes. Or to be exact their failure is result of imperfect teamwork with all of them involved.

Well, I hope Crusty isn't modeled after the writer himself.

And. That ending!!! Are we gonna know what was the secret behind the world of Elder Tale? Can't wait for the next episode.
