WTF, that preview was so..... terrifying. And it's coming soon!!! Well Nadeko, congrats, you get the role of the last boss of the series.

Well, aside from the twist, Hitagi calls was in the right time. But how does she know that Araragi was dying in the hand of Nadeko? Ougi tell her. Hm... suspicious. I guess Ougi is the mastermind of all of this strange phenomenon. And I also guess she is a time traveller, so she knows when was the right timing to tell Hitagi, also the right timing to tell Shinobu and Araragi about Nadeko's trespassing. Well done Ougi.

She was just brutal!!! Yeah, I agree that this episode easily was the best of this series by a long margin. Once again I couldn't help but feel as I'm watching this episode that without Shaft/Shinbo creativity, this series doesn't enjoy it's popularity. There were so much intricate detail at work here to make this episode so effective that I don't know any other studio is capable of such. I loved it.

and looks like we were right all along with saying she was the last boss

oh wow, I think this series and the studio are the only ones capable of doing something this crazy and getting away with it. other series/studio, it would feel so much of a cop out/lame/out of left field ending.

I laughed so much as she is doing a theatrical trailer to promote her "movie" which sure to come out now cause I don't think anyone would dare to say no when she has already gone out of her way to promote it.

She was called the last boss because we knew close to nothing about her. Also she was super aggressive in Nise.

Once again I love the way Shaft animated the snakes and Nadeko's eyes. The way they glow and shine is just superb.

Hell yes I am, although I wasn't too happy she tortured Shinobu. It's a shame my two favorite characters in the show hate each other's guts. Hopefully everything will be resolved peacefully and Nadeko will find happiness.

I'm a bit confused... so Nadeko tried to restore the god so he would fulfil her wish, right?
Wasn't her wish to make Araragi fall for her?
Why is she trying to kill him now? Is her wish unachievable?

Otherwise, I actually am liking her character more now.
While I don't agree with her logic of killing Araragi and all his potential lovers, I can see where she is coming from. She became a much more interesting character in my eyes than just a cute/shy girl.

First thing first, she's crazy so you can't use logic for her.

When she made her wish Kuchinawa-san hasn't revived yet so her wish wasn't really "made" yet.

Now that she is a god she has the power to fulfill her own wish which is now killing Araragi.

The reason why she wants to kill him is because she realize he will never love her back. So rather then killing his girlfriend and risking another heartbreak when he gets a new girlfriend she would rather just kill him now so that no one can have him. Also she believes that a one-sided love is more romantic so with him dead he can love him forever one-sidedly. Bitch is cra-cra.

I don't really see a problem with that. Aside from the fact that there was a radical chara development, becoming evil is not necessarily a turn off. Evil characters have their fans too. Nadeko's rise in prominence and charisma is also a plus.

Exactly. Plus this would be the wrong show for people who shy away from characters with human failings, since everyone in the show has them.

It should, in theory, change things for some fans of the old Nadeko, assuming being shy and delicately cute was the reason they liked her. It's not just about her character development being radical, its about a polar opposite shift in personality. I personally did not like the old Nadeko at all, and I'm loving her now. The same should apply in reverse.

Regarding this episode, it is easily my favourite one post-Bakemonogatari 12. This episode just made one of the dullest characters (for me) into one of the most epic. Not only does she look badass, but she is badass. Withdrawn characters coming out of their shell is always refreshing, especially when they become a God in the process.

I think her parents worrying about her missing school or returning home pales in comparison to her stabbing 2 people and planning on murdering 3.

I thought the way they portrayed Medusa made her look very strong.

A full powered Kiss Shot killed just about every single human just in the story arc before this. She can literally jump from the North Pole into Japan without trying. Her shrimpy, no-power, mini version in Shinobu can already mess about with time just because she's that awesome. She's basically unkillable for that matter.

She's basically built to be a broken character in the first place.

Poison works against vampires just as well as poison against humans. Meaning if Nadeko is able to land a hit then things might change. But whether she'll land a hit is another matter. Kiss shot can probably defeat her with one roar and that's not including Kokorowatari.

In the full powered form, she could probably just vaporize any part that has poison in it, instantly regenerate and just keep going =/
