00:05:16,370 --> 00:05:19,670 60,0,Default,Komoe,0000,0000,0000,,"Mmm... his Power Level is 70000!"{over 9000} You thought it, I thought it, everyone thought it. I demuxed the sub to see if Eclipse had left a comment and sure enough. New mysterious girl is fine, too. Very fine, too. I thought for a moment she was the new magician in disguise, but nope, she's some other Mysterious Creature/Imaginary Number, or whatever the heck they kept going on about. Maybe something interesting will happen if Touma touches her with his right hand. Or maybe she'll just jump straight up and squeal. I could settle for that. Um... what? If you're an esper, you don't really count as an "normal human"... I don't think Kuroko could have been referring to magicians.

There's not much else she could mean, but that's not what I was talking about. "Normal human" and "esper" are mutually exclusive terms--that's my problem with her statement.
Differences in semantics.

Some of the examples include 'a beer is always wet' or 'a beer won't get angry when you go for another one' There was also a '15 reasons why a dog is better then a man' but unfortunately it wasn't anywhere near as funny. Aoshen's subs are more accurate on this one. Kuroko mentions an outsider with Psychic powers ('gaibu no ningen' 'human from outside') not a 'normal human.' Since Kuroko doesn't know of the existence of mages (which means that to her, anyone with powers has to be a Psychic), and since Psychics outside of Academy city are rare, she was quite surprised by the retaliation. |

I suppose it's of the reason that she doesn't know mages exist she's surprised with an ability she can't logically think (as a psychic) how it can be done. Or, to be more accurate, if I were Kuroko I'd think something within "WTF is that thing!? Is there even such an ability?" I don't think summoning golems is an ability any able esper can do no matter how powerful they are since the mechanism of summoning and controlling a golem is different and can't be worked with the power of just an esper. |

It's theoretically plausible for a Psychic with the power to control earth, so I wouldn't put it beyond possible. I do think summoning and steering something of that size would mean the user is of a high level.
Now there would obviously be differences between a Psychic's golem and a mage's. For one, I doubt the Psychic's golem would have sentience, as it would be rocks controlled by the will of the Psychic, but since the golem didn't display anything you can accurately pinpoint as sentience, there's no reason for Kuroko to think of her as anything else but a powerful Psychic. Now the eye thing, on the other hand, would have had her going 'what is this?' Last edited by Keroko; 2009-03-03 at 05:13. |

Not gonna say much except Komoe driving is hilarious, it was good to see Kuroko fight(outside the Railgun manga), love to see Mikoto blush, and the new girl is hot. Actually, this episode felt like some kind of eroge game minus the ero, the way Touma unintentionally ran into every girl in the series and had a chat with them(except Kanzaki).

Well, since everyone already said it, I can't. But... IT'S OVER 9000!!!!!!!!
Okay, but seriously, I'm still wondering when everyone is gonna find out Touma really lost his memory back then... cuz I know the shit's really gonna hit the fan then. I mean seriously, just one little reference and Touma'll be screwed.

With the amount of mess Touma gets involved with you'd think they'd get him in Judgement or the Anti-Skills. (Motoharu has also accused Mr. I govern Academy City upside down in a tank that he has made Touma his errand boy for mages. If I were Touma and found that out I'd ask hazard pay.)
Unfortunately according to criteria of joining Judgement you'd have to pass psychic tests. Touma is categorized as Level 0. But from Komoe's description of AIM it is not easy to detect without a specialist. Specialists can't detect any from Touma as he immediately nullifies it. If Accelerator redirects Touma cancels it. |

Not just mages. Mister upside-down also made him the errand boy for Psychics, seeing how this also gets rid of a trouble for Academy City.
Hazard pay would be awfully nice, especially with that walking dumpster Index living in his apartment. |

Also a little disappointed in Kuroko, who started off arrogant only to become a helpless captive once the golem surprise-grabbed her. I know her power requires a high amount of concentration, but if she was able to teleport away right after Biri Biri railgunned the golem's arm off, she ought to have escaped and lasted a little longer. I guess it's hard to concentrate while you're being squeezed.
Underneath Kuroko's skirt lie various weapons. Various. Would have made for an interesting fight, especially since it would have been Not Just As Planned having an esper take down a magician.
