I checked v12 illustrations again. Seems like you are right based on Ayako's twirls . I thought the short haired one was Kasumi initially, and I didn't recognize Ayako since v12 was so long ago Seeing 2 people on the cover just flipped the 'must be the Double 7 twins' switch inside my head. And no Minoru isn't healthy at all. It says that the cause of his frail body isn't clear though it could be due to inbreeding issues. Actually am I supposed to use spoiler tags? I guess since the thread says v13, people should know it contains v13 info right? Quote:

For shield down best person would be Leo and Miki; gunner and rower should be Shizuku and Honoka; Iam pretty sure Tatsuya would be on steeplechase; his partner would be non other than Erika. Ice break is still Miyuki domain! For crowdball probably eimi and her group of friends; monolith code i'd like to put Tomitsuka but if it remain as no physical combat then it would be Hattori, Sawaki and D-bag.

Tats already seems set to be in the Steeple chase from earlier spoilers. Will be even more interesting if a vamp remnant might also be involved.
The 2nd Year Blooms boys no.1 Tomitsuka might finally have a chance to shine with Shield Down. |

Tatsuya will probably be in Steeplechase given its danger and remember Kudou Retsu will be testing his Parasi-doll in this event. Tatsuya will probably be utilized in another event as well.
You guys seem to forget the freshman powerhouses. For Rower and Gunner, I'll bet on Double 7 sisters doing the pair category. It wasn't clear whether there will be further gender divisions but regardless, I'm guessing Takuma will be in one of the solo categories (since he lacks friends ). For the freshman powerhouse, we still have Minami. Since she's a barrier specialist, and she has been further training her body in mountaineering club (oh, I forgot to mention this, it seems ), I think she'll be entered into Shield Down. Leo is also in mountaineering club and considering his magic expertise area, so yeah, probably he'll also go into Shield Down. Miyuki is pretty much confirmed for Ice Pillar Break, as monologued by Tatsuya. Kenta will probably take part in engineering support I suppose. Given the divisions (assuming gender division is still present), and the fact people can't compete in more than 1 event save Steeplechase, pretty much all the named characters to date will be involved. Both these are not clear yet. They were not mentioned. We have to wait for the volume release. But I suppose yes to female and male separation, since they didn't mention this as a change in the student council discussion. But then again, chapter 1 wasn't a complete preview, so who knows what other addenda will there be?

I have a question regarding the CAD engineers ... have there been any new restrictions included in the current year competitions for them, that have been mentioned in the preview ...
Basically, can Tatsuya still be the engineer of pretty much, every named female character from his school that went to the competition last year or is he going to be prevented from doing that, due to some new regulations |

i wonder what competition could be better for ayako and fumiya, rower and shooter probably
as for steeple chase if it is a pair event the tatsuya and miyuki would finnaly a chance to show masaki how they complement each other kkkk. |

But damn never thought that Minami would join that club but I guess it was expected Minami was raise in a village mountain after all. Are we still divided with first years and upperclassman or they change it to male and female, pair and solo? I doubt that would happen; Miyuki would just slow down Tatsuya in a speed base event; and for Miyuki, she may be wise but she isnt the sharpest tool on the shed.

Thanks again larethian. Tatsuya will compete in Monolith and Steeplechase, there are the only ones where he can shine, excepted his new confrontations with Masaki I think I am more excited for the freshmen battles.
Ice Break is obviously for the queen, she could probably win the pair category alone . Takuma could be here too. For Rower and Gunner, Shizuku, Honoka and the Saegusa. I can see Leo and Minami for Shield Down. Hopefully Tatsuya would be allowed to use Decomposition, Miyuki uses Niflheim all the time . I wanted to see Miyuki VS Ayako or Fumiya but I doubt it will happen now. |

Can students participate in both singles and doubles or only in one variation of any given event? Because if it's only one, these new games and restrictions have more than doubled the number of members per team.
Shield Down and Steeplechase sound like they were basically made for Tatsuya, although he'll probably want to avoid the first one like the plague. Maybe he could be a Gunner? Leo and Mikihiko certainly seem like a good combo for the pair version of Shield Down, as do Shizuku and Honoka for Rower and Gunner, but then Honoka won't be able to take part in Mirage Bat nor Shizuku in Ice Pillar Break. Argh, that “one competition” rule! I could see Erika in Shield Down as part of a pair. Or she could go solo and rely on speed and brute force to break her opponent's shield faster than they can defend (like Kanon did during Ice Pillar Break) - although that doesn't seem like the safest strategy for First High. Hattori and Kirihara are still around for Monolith Code, plus they have experience in that, so they would seem a fairly logical choice. Does Azusa have to take part as Student Council Preseident or can she just cheer from the sidelines? Because yeah, I can't see her in anything. She'd make a cute fairy though, and if she's used to flight-type magic, it might be possible for take part in Mirage Bat? Maybe? If flight-type magic means it's no longer quite as tough as running a marathon. Steeplechase sounds like it will be fun to read about. Tatsuya is a given but I'm not sure with who. On the one hand, Miyuki seems like an obvious narrative choice, plus she has versatile magic and some training against ninjas, so that's a plus. On the other hand, it sounds too physically demanding for her. Erika might be a good candidate with either Tatsuya, Leo or Mikihiko: three very different combo styles but any of them could work. And again, Hattori and Kirihara as the token Third Years? And people like Morisaki and Amelia will no doubt be slotted in somewhere. Oh, Morisaki as a Gunner, that would make sense. For the first years, Minami seems like the obvious choice for Shield Down (unless the Yotsuba want her to be discreet) and Shippou for Monolith Code. |

Hattori with his versatility is probably better in solo Rower and Gunner actually. It would not surprise me if he can put together a combination magic that both takes care of opponents AND moves his boat along faster. |
