Interesting chapter. That is a hot step-mom, haha. I am confused about her though, like at the end. Well, I guess there is still a lot more going on behind Nitta's back.
Kano is just so damn cute... Amazing how we've gone eight chapters at a perfect pace but there is still so much left to be explored. There are many seinen and shonen romance authors who could learn from this. That omake was great. That's classic Harumi Chihiro sweetness.

For this site, we try to keep things relatively clean. Some Hentai have discussion value, most do not. It really is a case by case basis. Something like Bible Black....probably not going to get a topic. Velvet Kiss is fine though. I think the story and the sexual content compliment each other, and it would be a disservice to downplay or ignore the sex in this case, as long as people are mature about it and keep it safe for work. If anyone is interested in this type of erotic fiction, I recommend the manga Musa. A fair warning, it deals with some very adult themes, but some of you might like it. Well, maybe not at first...... If you read it, or have read it, let me know what you thought.

Musa is a netorare manga. Majority will not like it.
And its a hentai manga. Velvet Kiss is not a hentai. There is a difference. Genetalia in Musa is shown (censorship like in most cases is laughable) in Velvet Kiss it is never shown. Musa story is depressing and hardly romantic (it's a netorare). VK is much more romantic. If you want a hentai romance try [Fuuga] Kyoushi to Seito. Its not NTR but a cute romance with story. Most of Fuuga's stories are. |

NTR is applied to so much stuff these days I think it's lost some definition. Guy/Girl has sex with other people = NTR, nowadays. It used to be applied to more rage inducing scenarios involving cheating, and still is in some cases, but it's used way too liberally these days. I believe Musa handles the matter of conflicted relationships in a more mature and realistic way than most stories you could apply NTR to. I'd hardly call either Musa or Velvet Kiss romantic though I will admit that Musa is more tragic/bittersweet. I don't consider Velvet Kiss romantic because at least for now the relationship between the two leads is essentially sexual and forced. He doesn't have much choice but to do what she wants. In the end, I guess it comes down to a persons comfort level with more taboo subjects. Anyway, when I said people might like it, I meant they might like another erotic story that isn't just about getting to the next sex scene. Since that's fairly uncommon, I thought it might be nice to point out other examples, for example A Peephole (Nozoki Ana).

And for your info Mashiraga Aki is a netorare author (labelled so by self even) be it Musa or Fork in the Road or other netorare stuff done. it is a NTR. Hot depressing NTR but clearly a NTR and its one of this authors selling traits like Nagare Ippon or others. |

And yeah, Musa is a great story. It has much more value than the primitive RAAAAGE-NTR nonsense that is 99.9% of this genre. Everybody should read Musa. Another great romance themed (well, a big part of it is a rather twisted romance) manga with rather explicit sex is Uncivilized Planet from Matsumoto Jiro. All of his works are great though. |

Regarding Kano's stepmom, I think there are possible ulterior motives for Nitta and Kano that are less than benevolent.
A.) She may see Kano's lifestyle as a burden on the family. If she focuses on Nitta, she may get her act together, then possibly think about helping the family business. B.) It may be a patriarchal family where only the man of the family inherits the business and fortune, so she could want Nitta himself to take over C.) Because Kano's lifestyle is a moneysink, her stepmother may want her to marry into someone else's family liek Nitta's so that she is out of the picture and no longer wants the family fortune. |

I wouldn't say the business needs help, but someone will definitely have to take over when Kano's father steps down. Either the stepmom wants Kano to do it and think about it seriously as the heir, or she wants Kano out of the picture and is using Nitta as the distraction.

Yep its a buzzword but it became so popular because it started include most of rage situations. Similary like tsundere the popularity of the word caused to loose edges of what is or what is not a tsundere and same way NTR. Aki self identifies as NTR author (focuses mostly on netorare) so its pretty easy. In velvet kiss we have a few NTR'ish situation but no actual NTR yet and its not a H manga too. I find the heroine in Velvet Kiss very good looking and the fact that she changes clothes a lot and they are pretty sexy only adds to her attractiveness. Tsundere term would need more correction than NTR cause we have three types of tsundere that differe quite a bit (Type A (tsun-dere), Type B(dere-tsun) and typce C (Classical tsundere like Kano)). I really dont see how can you make NTR term more clearer because everyone will still be using NTR as NTR is more about the feeling it creates rather than about the actual situation (cheating etc). Thats one of the reasons the term grew so popular to begin with. |

Ah Darknemo, your crusade to enlighten others all over the place about the intricacies of NTR is a inspiration to us all .
So got around to read this since I unintentionally came across the whole volume and decided to read it. It's pretty good. The art is lovely and the chars have some depth. I think it could use a few more chars, though that's not to say I don't enjoy Nitta/Kano moments, just that it's like the saying goes, "the more the merrier". Hopefully, Kano's mother will be the one that brings some to the table =03. And while we're talking about good hentai, I love Shiwasu no Okina's works, esp Sei So Tsui Dan Sha and Shining Musume, though the former has a much more interesting story, and the sex scenes are superb =03. What can I say? There is just too much ignorance about NTR to be ignored and its all over the place, lol. Though the link to mangaupdates is not to NTR discussion but just discussion to one particular netorare manga (Chisa x Pon), so in that case it is not a crusade at all. My main places are on hongfire and e-hentai to discuss netorare, if you want. Particularly because Fhc knows much more about than I do (as I mostly just uplaod stuff for nine years while he know about it much longer).
