This is the first episode I genuinely enjoyed in GBF Try, I love how it pays homage to some of the under represented Astray MS. Loved the part where the two guys do a kamikaze attack to quickly get rid of two enemies, and the references to the Seed universe. For some strange reason, it feels like this episode really captured the Seed "themes" of the type of resolve it takes to fight and why people fight. The kamikaze scenes in particular really remind me of all the kamikaze scenes in the Seed series, mainly the ASH amphibious MS belonging to the SF team at the beginning of Destiny, and the Murasame team that went on a kamikaze run against Minerva in Seed.

Sorry but this episode didn't feel that good to me, I couldn't get into it like oast episodes, it felt like it was mimicking the fight vs the Fenice from last season and from the beginning I could see how the battle was going to go. Thus season feels like it's trying to mimick season one in some parts, some obvious some not so obvious.
P.S. I seriously can't get into SekaixFumina it just doesn't feel right, unlike last season, it just feels like they were thrown together "just 'cause".

As a Destiny fan, I should say this episode is good for that reason alone. For once we didn't see Yuuma bitching and looks like he started to think again that who's in the team that has weakest resolve.
Next episode we will see how they deal with the question everyone asked every week, "What will happen if the Build Burning is damaged?". Quote:
The explosion came from between the head and the hand. Be happy that the Destiny's arm didn't get blow off with its build quality.

I would be happier if Destiny's hands DID explode, one less question be raised.
And yeah SekaixFumina seems to hit a brick wall as of recently. Their dynamic in the first four episode were great.

Looking at Team Faith, they're notonly using Destiny gunpla, FAITH is the ZAFT's supposed special forces (but really Durandal's private army). Faith is also a meaningful name: the faith that they have in each other.
Also, Gorou and Kouji have shit for skills as fighters or builders. Utterly shit. They were totally being carried by Shimon. Srsly, If I had to run a team, I probably would never have picked them... But. Those guys had true hearts, and were all bro. If anybody deserved to take levels in badass after a defeat, it's these guys. o7 I'll take an honest man with a good heart who tries his best and gives his all, any day of the week.

Yeah, I didn't mind those two guys. Unlike the idiot swimmer team, they're completely aware of how useless they are, and are there just to support Shimon, and they were definitely more useful than Fumina or Yuuma were this week. Though too bad Shimon didn't enter the tournament by himself but there's probably a rule requiring three members, which is why Fumina was so desperate to recruit someone at the beginning of the series.
Come to think of it, with the Seed focus this week, too bad the swim team didn't use the Abyss Gundam or one of the Forbidden underwater variants, but guess they were always meant as just a joke team, like the first season's German guy. |

Didn't think I would say this, but best part in this episode for me is free team.
Maybe because I expect more from Shimon VS Sekei. While it decent fight. I didn't get EPIC fight like I think of. I feel it lack something even I didn't what it is.

Faith is weak but solid team, while Try Fighters is strong but fragile. --- I wonder how strong Shimon will be if Destiny build quality is equal to Build Burning. Maxter is much more better choice for him considering his boxing style. But, looking at how Sekai--another martial arts user, can't even aim properly; also Chinan who didn't use such things like rifles, etc. Shimon must be trained hard enough to be able to use all of Destiny weapons properly to the point he's capable of carrying Faith to the third round (using Destiny at it's lowest performance) |

I just think that if the Destiny's right arm wasn't damaged then the Build Burning's head shouldn't have been damaged too. The Destiny's right arm was in a worse condition to start off and was a worse build. |
