Are you asking about "Official Translation of Vol.5" or the "release date of Vol.6 in Japan"?

Well, either way neither matter, as there is no info about both as far as i know.

I make a post saying "no news yet", and a few hours later we get some news.

"Volume 6" is stated to release on 30th October 2023 in Japan.

Quite odd they haven't commented on this yet, but I'll try again. The next volume of the novel will be released on October 30th and according to the synopsis Cid will incorporate a NEW persona.

If anyone was wondering who is the girl on the cover, that's Christina Hope. Relative of the deceased Suzuki Hope(Shadow's hidden identity in Vol.5).The shade of her hair and the twin buns tied with hair clip(?) on it is her.

The LN covers of EIS always have Cid/Shadow on it with other girls. But this time its a Clown/Jester on the front of Vol.6.

-It could be a hint of Loki of the Knight of Rounds or
-If you read the synopsis of Vol.6, then This might be Cid's interpretation of his Jack The Ripper persona.

Spoiler for Vol.6:

My best guess how the story goes:

- After being interviewed by the Knight Order, Cid would learns about the rising tensions with the nobles. Probably after hunting down and extracting information out of a corrupt nobleman, he'll learn about the Night Swords and their wealth. Cid is obviously going after their loot. So, he decides to create the Jack the Ripper persona.

- Alexia tried to assemble a team to help in the upcoming battle between Shadow Garden and the Cult of Diabolos. She probably tries protecting Christina and her family only to be shut down by the nobles that are the Night Swords.

- The Night Swords are intending to maintain control over the kingdom and some even attempting to ascend to the Rounds by eliminating any of the King and Alexia's potential allies.

- Christina is in trouble with Eliza and her family. At the same time, she's also experiencing an awakening in her powers. Then, a mysterious clown cheers her up. That clown is Cid.

- Cid, now Jack the Ripper, would go about killing corrupt knights and nobles, resulting in a major stir with the unknowing public. Of course, the Cult would pin the murders on Shadow Garden. Then, when Jack gets confronted by Iris and her Crimson Order, Jack defeats them.

- Iris gets reprimanded by the King and Iris and Alexia get into an argument again. They'll probably be a talk about their mother who might have passed away when Alexia was still an infant.

- Cid meets up with Gamma and Gamma reveals about a new sound system. Cid takes interest and uses them for his escapades.

- Christina is being harassed by Eliza and her group only to be stopped by Jack who humiliates them. Jack and Christina go to an abandoned circus and Christina spills about her distant lineage with the Blood Queen, Elizabeth.

- Delta returns and helps Cid in his shenanigans again. They find the hideout of Jormungandr and they kill him.

- Eliza, being backed by the Nightswords who also brought in the Shadow-Hunting Hound, tries to destroy the Hope family and take Christina. Christina unlocks her Vampire powers and kills many of the assailants. Then, Jack comes in and fights the Hound and wins. Jack secretly records Eliza's confessions and spreads it around the kingdom, resulting in her and family to be shamed and arrested.

- The Nightswords get confronted by Jack who slaughters them before taking all their money.

- Hobbs returns to Loki and Hela and report about the Hound's death. Loki reveals he already has a new Hound in the form of Iris.

Personally, I think the circus part is incredible, but otherwise, I don't believe the rest.
I believe that Eliza will return, but it is Alexia who will tell Cid about the corrupt nobles. She should try to report Eliza for what she did in volume 5, but nothing should happen to her and then Alexia will vent to Cid.

I love it, actually the part with Iris I would love to be true since she’s literally craving for more power after being defeated by shadow and now potentially Jack, it just shows how she’s willing to sacrifice everything in her quest for more power.

not just losing to Alexia, more likely to get killed by Alexia if Iris lose her mind and out of control after taking the drugs given from the Cult...

I don't think Alexia herself would kill Iris, but I think it's acceptable for Iris to come to her senses after losing to Alexia, them having a conversation about the future and then Iris sacrificing herself to save Alexia from an attack by some cult member.

Alexia as Queen of Midgard would be wonderful.
