Hirata avoided class discussions regarding this exam. He was always the first to leave the classroom which caused Mei-chan to chase after him to try to cheer him up.

Hirata's dark past is revealed this volume. After Hirata's friend committed suicide the bullies in Hirata's class moved on to their next victim instead of changing their ways. Hirata couldn't stand the situation anymore so he used violence to stop the bullies and enforce the rule of no bullying in the classroom. Instead of helping the class his actions caused the class to split apart and ultimately collapse.

Hirata responded coldly to Mei-chan's attempts to cheer him up. He got annoyed at her to the point of pushing her away which caused Koenji to save her (hence the illustration). Koenji said something along the lines of "If you don't want her, I'll be the one taking her then".

Ultimately it's Ayanokoji who caused Hirata to get out of his funk. He essentially told Hirata to stop being a little bitch and that it's because he's mediocre that he can't prevent bullying or Yamuachi from getting expelled.

Ayanokouji and Sakayanagi are in a room with PCs and they type their orders with them. Then what they typed goes to another PC in another room (where Tsukishiro is) then they go to Horikita and Hashimoto. It usually takes 10 seconds.
In the last set of instruction from Ayanokouji, there is a lag of 30 seconds before it arrives to Horikita.
Reason is that the instruction stopped at the middle room, then Tsukishiro, using computers, calculated a move that would make Ayanokouji lose without the move being seen as bad (after all, it would be weird to make a bad move after being on the way to victory) then replaced it, making Hashimoto able to make a come back.

In the second match, they start it over from the move modified by Tsukishiro. Ayanokouji uses the move he intented to use, and Sakayanagi loses to it.

so its not direct confrontation and not monitored. That's really weird for a chess match. It's even illogical to do but then again, its a set up for Arisu to win.

It's not just for the chess match, it's for everything.
They use the PC to select who will participate at which game, and to use the right of the leader and give instructions.

But yeah, the setup was decided by Tsukishiro from the start to make Ayanokouji lose. Like, it's not said explicitly, but I'm pretty sure the Chess Match wasn't selected randomly as the last match but intentionally by Tsukishiro.

Judging by whats been said about Ichinose being more fixated on Ayano as well as Ryuenn coming back Im anticipating Class B to go on a bad run. Also the convo with Class B teacher makes me believe shes also anticipating Ichinose will prioritise Ayano over her class. Will be interesting to see how that plays out.

What i'm looking forward to is how Ayano will deal with Tsukishiro. With Ayano telling Hirata to man up maybe class D will be a lot stronger now. This coupled with Class B being hinted at wavering makes me think there will be a big shake up soon in the class rankings in the coming volumes. Tsukishiro might do what he can to stop Ayano moving up but maybe Sakayanagi might get involved. The wait for the next volume will be a long one

Since he instructed Horikita in chess, she should evaluate him better now, but other than that, there is nothing mentioned in the spoilers about other people noticing Kiyopon's abilities ... Ah, Kushida finally realized that he can be dangerous, but it seems that was just that.

Tsukishiro interfered in the dispute between them, helping Arisu to win, as she is extremely proud, she should not have considered this a victory, add to this the fact that when they played again, she lost.

No, Albert had no opponent as Ichinose couldn't choose someone from her own class before the time limit, so that match was forfeited. It was Judo.
