If I would have voted for myself I would have made it into the poll. But I wanted to do the honourable thing and not be cheap.

Ah well, it doesn't really matter. I wasn't gonna win anyways...I didn't make the banner with the intention of winning. I just happend to be bored at the time so I spent a grand total of 10 minutes making it to pass the time.

Anyway...

Considering how neck-and-neck Hellychan, Oneesama and Sakura-chan-1 were in the nominations, I am shocked to see Hellychan falling so far behind. Perhaps there are a block of Hellychan fanatics that just haven't voted yet.

In any case PiGGiE and skuld aren't far behind Oneesama and Sakura-chan-1. They could take the lead with just a few votes.

So far there's no way to tell who is going to win!

Well, frankly I think all the banners sucked. So I voted Nightwish because I don't think anyone deserves a prize for those pitiful garbagie banners.

It blows my mind how tight this race is. With 85 people voting so far the top 4 contestants are within a 2 vote range. And several other challengers are right behind and eager to overtake them. In light how how unbelievably tight this race is getting I would like to add a brand new rule:

In the event of a tie I will choose the victor.

Now I will hope that there isn't a tie, because I don't want to have to make that choice.

Edit: After getting some feedback on this I am considering the possiblity of having a poll of all the moderators (over a 1 day period) to decide a tie. I'd rather not make it another general poll because after the better part of a month I'd like to settle the tie very quickly so that we can get around the congratulating the winner.

After some more consideration I've decided that a tie will be settled by a 24-hour poll in the moderators forum. (Sorry, moderators only to settle the tie) Once the vote is over I will move the tie settling poll into General Chat so that everyone can see the final result. If by some miracle it is still a tie after the end of that vote then and only then will I personally choose between them.

Anyway, it's currently no longer a tie. Since Hellychan is ineligible for the prize (she's a moderator) the current winner is Sakura-chan's FMA. Hellychan will take the position of first runner-up. Of course the vote is still so close that this could change with a moment's notice.

If you know someone who might not have voted, this is the time to PM them (or canvass on IRC) to get them to vote! At any moment Oneesama or PiGGiE (or squonjon or skuld) could seize the victory!

In case anyone is curious about such things, and missed the fine points of the rules. Currently squonjon is positioned to take second runner up because he made the highest ranked Easter banner.
