Yup the manga totally ROCKS! It's at about the same level of the Narutaru manga and Saikano manga for me

(but then still BERSERK is the king of darkness

It's much too dark to my taste heh, i'm a sucker for happy endings. That means a happy conclusion to Lucy, Kouta, and the rest of the gang after the hell they have been through. And o course, to see the crazy ass Director General decapitated.

yup, chapter 85 is fantastic, the author really knows how to make great drama, and the story is just so unpredictable

Err, well, i don't have access to YJ magazine. And i'm almost illiterate in Japanese. All i'm requesting is that if possible, if the scanlations of the latest raw chapter (85, the one after 84 in which long horn Lucy is about to get owned) are up and if possible where i could get them. The BT links posted here all pointed to Fansubbed ones by Got Nyu and EG. Either my English is horrible and i can't read, or maybe you kinda got it mixed up with another forum? If the link is indeed posted and i can't seem to notice it, could you be of assistance?

And i did search my ass off before asking. Hongfire doesn't have it; anime-fin doesn't have it, and Suprnova doens't have it. Anyone care to help? =/

Well,

after seeing the anime and making up in my mind that Elfen Lied was now my favorite anime of all time ,beating evangelion

i naturally want to read the manga (even though im not much of a manga person,

the only manga i read on a semi-regular basis is ichigo 100%)

especially when people make the claim that the manga was 50x more dark than the anime.

and thats cool.

So could some one tell me what the names of the groups are that are translating it currently? i want to see about contacting them...

ive been trying like crazy to download the raws from Winmx but with no avail

Well... actually the first volume is in 1st Queue , now that i added to the user "koukan shinai ka, Elfen Lied onegaishimasu"
they might actually let me download it. (they=the japanese otaku world)

i want to translate this for my "practice" because ive been HONING in my japanese translating skills for preparation for translating anime.

Who the hell were his ancestors? What the hell is that thing down at the underground lake? Is that the director general's own daughter? And for the Pocky Addict director, there's a scene where you're shown a bunch of skeletons on meet hooks... wtf is going on there? Also, is there a counter virus to the Diclonius virus released by the Director General? the manga is like.... 50 times darker than the anime =/

And it seems that the Lucy mentality will not be awaken anytime soon as the horns got broked.
