But Kuromukuro seems at least decent from both the reviews I checked around and also from what I've seen little of the show itself. There's also Knights of Sidonia but it's full CG sadly.

I watched it all. It had potential but it turned out to be a fart in the end.

Given how little was shown I don't see anything wrong with it. You might not like the type it is but don't let your personal prejudice cloud your objectivity.

With that out of the way the trailer itself was decent but it would have been nice to see why there is a random biomass flying around. While roller skates were funny at the beginning in a potentially hostile environment mobile equipment makes a lot of sense. It was somewhat awkward how they jumped from the girl to the divers and especially back, yet the premise seems interesting enough.

AICO's director, character designer and music composer all worked on 2013's Suisei no Gargantia.

Character designs are by hentai mangaka Naruko Hanaharu, who also designed Gargantia's characters.

The composer, Iwashiro Taro, also did the OSTs for 2 John Woo movies, Red Cliff (赤壁) and The Crossing (太平轮). He has a very distinct style, good for historical epic movies.

Some samples from Red Cliff and The Crossing.
