I wouldnt use school days as an example and consider its ending especially. The number of bad things about this show outweigh the good if you can find any good.

There are things about the manga that I didn't like, but I won't outright say it's terrible. It's in the category of manga you read just for occasional simple entertainment. I say watch or read it and make your own judgements.

If I were to make any specific comment about it, I would say that it is true that the main characters are definitely not the types you typically see in anime. They're not full-on detestable like School Days' characters, but their character flaws are certainly not what you'd typically see in romance anime like these. If you want to see characters that make you dislike them for reasons different from the typical ones, then this might be worth watching at least just for that.

EDIT: On a different note, from the little we see of the anime character designs, I like what I see so far.

I wasn't aware that what constitutes an example of a romance anime genre was whether it suited your conceptions of what a good romance anime is. I'm so sorry I triggered you off your high horse.

Now romance basically boils down to boy meets girl and they fall in love. This story is going on a very roundabout way via boy being slighted by the girl, and trying to get back at her, but it's still what you could call romance, albeit a very twisty one.

Isn't Koguro a boy? I didn't expect Hayamin to voice a boy... I don't know how it will work (I love her, but I haven't heard her in different registers... Many of her characters have pretty similar voices)

Anyway the only one I don't know is the MH herself.
