Who else saw the supporting error that appeared on Hayate's Valkyrie (when Heinz first began to sing and overwhelm the Walkure), it even had both Freyja and Hayate's ID's to the left.... It looks like the second ending was referring to their current situation...

Yeah, CriiGV's theory about the foreshadowing ending is becoming true, it seems. Hayate will be without song power ups for a while and be 'useless' like the VA claimed? Can at least hope Mirage has more than three lines and helps him train? She is his teacher.

I liked the episode, it had new information, we get to know more about some characters and it also had a good bit of action, now episodes like this are the ones I like.

Cassim is likely to die soon, either in combat of because what Heinz's song did to him.

Roid is really becoming the main villian isn't he? at first he was opposed to a full-out war now he was the one to continue it and he doesn't seem to care about anyone anymore, in short he's Delta's Grace.

I can barely stand what Mirage has been reduced to, will she keep just making a sad or angry/serious face at every Hayate/Freya interaction for the rest of the series? if they want to use her only for the love triangle at least make her do something, if not at least make her do something else.

I thought Hayate's fold boost in episode 13 was big, but it's nothing compared to the one he got in this one, so big that it made him go Var and at the end he crashed.

It seems Mikumo gained her memories back, I still don't think she's an experiment, more likely she was discovered sleeping or something by some scientists,maybe by Chaos.

It's funny how they said Delta was going to be all about teamwork, but the only time I saw Delta squad work as a team (minus Arad because we have never seen him actually fighting the knights) was episode 9 and maybe 6.

Because it is about team work between Delta and Walkure, iirc. Kawamori never specifically promised that was about pilots working together when the original concept of the team was between the pilots and their support idols. Also Walkure generally do teamwork and they are unquestionably the stars in the series.

That said, I'm ready for other pilot-singer teams that isn't Heinz-his brother/other Windermerians, Kaname-Messer and Freyja-Hayate.

Not a lot for summary on my end because I always wait for subs; however, I like how an Aerial Knight is communicating with Freyja (and Hayate) nicely. Yes, he might (and emphasis on it) know who Wright Immelmann is; however, I also believe it's a coincidence for now (like he noticed his last name on a file or in passing).

I'd love to know if those ruins plus Mikumo and Freyja singing could, in fact, enslave everyone who is subdued by Var, and if it's what Roid is aiming for in his plans. Because, and correct me if I'm wrong, but in an earlier episode, didn't Hayate discover (or learn) he is immune to the Var? If so, I'm really scared if Freyja's singing will do this again if they're near a ruin.

It's not Delta / Walküre teamplay but it depends if Walküre are behind line of fire or if they are inbetween. It is correct that each pilot is assigned to a walküre however, this has changed with Messers death.

If Walküre are safe, then Delta fight as a squad and they are splitted in three teams actually.

Prior to Messers death the teams were more:
- Arad/Chuck
- Mirage/Hayate
- Messer

Messer is special since he was the one Hunting Keith. However, the peerings are clear.

Further Flight teams are basically of two planes. One as the leader the other is the wingman.

It's not that. Freyja was seemly possessed by protoculture ruins (she had dull eyes of mind control) and going overload then Hayate was affected by the backlash because they were in sync. It wasn't something natural of her singing or their relationship, rather something affected her and so Hayate was negatively affected too. Something like that also happened to the Aerial Knights as well with Heinz.

So no, those hoping for this, it doesn't happen at all. It does confirm they are completely fold bonded I suppose, which was what was happening in the last two episodes, showing their sync resonance growing. It's positive when they are themselves, but negative when they are not, or controlled by external things like the ruins.

My opinion here is Freyja is overloading Hayate with emotions in her song. With her current love interest she "pumping" too much power into Hayate, much than he can handle or well maybe he is limited with his feelings as he is not so "far" as Freyja is. Although Freyja was doing her job to support by singing, she is not aware that Hayate is not on the same level as she is. I am not sure if there is a third power within the fold wave, as I see the ruins as amplifier. So no, not possessed but the ruins system just bakfired because 3 parties were singing with effect on the ruins.

Eh, no. Here a quote from one of his interviews:

As the singers became a kind of unit in Delta I was thinking of having the variable fighters as a team as well and focusing on the teamwork between the two groups.

It's Macross, so the main story about a pilot and a songstress + additional femal is nothing new to the scenes. This duo is always present because it's Macross.

After episode 1 Mirage and Hayate are constantly seen either fighting against each other (when Hayate was a newbie) or fighting together. If you haven't watched the fights precisely. Either Hayate was Mirage wingman or vice versa.

But again. When Walküre are safe, Delta Squad fight together against their enemy. I think this is also hinted in episode 13.

Arads command was that Alpha, Beta and all defense squad are assigned to protect the main ship and the Aether (where Walküre was on board) while Delta Squad fights the White knight.

So, teamwork within Delta squad is a story within delta and also the what brings Hayate and Mirage together.

You mean at least it should be bringing them together, Mirage keeps getting sidelined and she practically disappeared somewhere in ep18.

As someone else mentioned, Cassim has a wife and a 6 year old son, and you have to remember that because of the short lifespan, it is encouraged that they marry young. If you think back to Freyja's birthday party, she said that she hasn't had any in the past few years because she's usually hiding from the village mayor, who has been harping on her to find someone to get married. Which if you think about it, these pokes may have started when she was 10-11 years old.

Maybe we should toss Roid out an airlock for having Heinz-sama involved in taking over the galaxy while the lad should be searching for his queen...
