Maybe Xebec will do this? I did like what they did Argevollen, it's just that I hoped that the animation would be more passable this time around. Bones would also give this a chance along with Brains' Base, since it's been a while they have made a mecha show back in the mid oughts when they're still unknown to many.

Prophecy fulfilled. Surprised about this not really, but then again who else on here was. I knew it was a matter of time before this gets the golden thumb, but it's just a matter of when. And now that news of this has picked up I'm really interested in seeing how this adaptation will play out. Then again, I only read 4 volumes of this series so far, but enjoy it regardless.
For now I'll be keeping a close eye on this, but I'm glad to say that this was a series I'd love to see animated. This is one of the best news I've heard all year. Can't wait to see where this goes.

The objects in the 9th announcement video looked like plastic toys FFS. If the actual animation is like that then things'll go a bit like this: Objects not intimidating → Quenser and Heivia not badass → People don't feel the hype → Series won't be popular → Kamachi won't be popular → No Index 3

Actually they did in the fact, it's just that most of them are underappreciated, with Gunparade March and the recent Dai Shogun being prime examples.

If people continue to complain in this thread about Index not being announced I will start issuing infractions. A moderator has already warned about this once, this is now the second time. There won't be a third.

I guess this is a good catalyst for me to get into the Heavy Object novels, though. That and IntellaVillage are the only two Kamachi series (and Murder Princess but that one is obscure as hell) that I have yet to read...though, I did read the manga for HO and liked it. Hopefully, this will spur my interest in the LNs and actually get me to read them.

Heavy Object anime confirmed? Hell yes! I hope they at least get to vol 2 chapter 2 - for that scene between Quenser and Froleytia concerning the latter's fiancee

PS: BTW, why is everyone complaining about JC Staff? I'm just curious.

I hope it'll cover 1 volume in 6-7 episodes because HO and Kamachi series in general are info-dump heavy. If it's faster than that then for the anime-only watchers thing will look like asspulls at times.

But if it'll be 4 episodes per volume then the struggle will be almost nonexistent. Of course the other choice would be to sacrifice the characterization and the comedic interactions but that would be even worse IMO.
