Maybe to make them feel that she was dying meanwhile he was talking to them, and that there was nothing they could do to stop that.

...That actually makes him a decent villain then. At least as far as DxD villains go, if this was the true reason he did what he did, he's not so much on the pathetic side (like Loki and Diodora) as much as in the unlucky side. Pissing Ise off is just too much misfortune.

Good thing my hype is unlimited then.

Got what I expected this episode. Ophis, Vali, and Juggernaut. Oh and of course a bit of DD too.

Lesson to be learned: don't piss off Issei.

Honestly I don't mind the Oppai Dragon Song not being in this part, it made the atmosphere much better.

Agreed, when I heard the song wasn't there I thought "Shit, they fucked up an hilarious moment" But considering how they did all that stuff with Reynare, it'd have probably made it worse if they put it there. As long as it appears later on, I'm happy.

I liked his design. Although TNK has a habit of just giving a terrible design to people who are irrelevant and giving good ones to those who are relevant.

I thought that the JD just "dragonified" the armor, I think it was weird the part of his head and neck getting longer since it was supposed to just get horns and "mouth" in that area of the helmet, plus the fact that he became bigger. Well, its not a big deal tbh, but it bugs me at the end.

Kiba described Issei's JD as a Small sized Dragon in the LN, so it makes sense that it took that form.

Plus he literally muched away Shalba's arm, I wouldn't want to watch that with a human-like phisique.

At first I thought it was a bit weird, but the way the transformation looked so bizarre was really cool IMO. The way there seemed to be actual flesh holding the armor was so creepy I loved it.

Fun fact: I didn't noticed the size difference until that shot with Vali flying above Rias.

I guess the only thing that threw me off was how freaking huge the two JD's were. I was expecting just a bulky BB, not a literal dragon-sized thing. This was actually a good thing though.
