But they'd do the best job art and animation wise. Besides trying new things and pushing one's (no pun intended) boundaries is what the industry should be about and with a competent director they may be able to pull it off quite well.

Wit Studio is pretty small, I believe, and they currently have like 5 projects on their work list (including Rolling Girls). Can't possibly be them. Yes, it's not sunrise (screw sunrise, anyway).

All signs point to Sunrise. I have no douby they're capable of doing the job in terms of production values, but stylistically they seem like an odd fit to me (though I admit I don't know the material that well).
