Bad science fiction maybe. But none of these apply to good works. Well, maybe #2 minus the reluctant part in some cases for older works. How does this movie (and #1) have anything to do with scifi? That's a B-movie atribute and this is a B-movie hommage. |

It is odd how completely stupid, ridiculous ideas can actually seem cool with a little movie magic.
Tim Burton film? Abe was always my fave president. I might go see it. He would be badass. XD it would really make my day if one of the vamps he kills had the last name of 'Cullen'. >=)

Just watched this tonight.
My verdict? It's rip-roaring good fun. Definitely not one for the history purists but, good gracious, what an inventive way to reimagine American Civil War history, making it a battle not just to "free" a nation but also to ensure that the living would forever prevail over the dead. My only complaint? That the slo-mo action scenes were poorly filmed, despite being lavishly choreographed. The movie makes me want to really break out a vampire-slaying deck in the current block of playing cards in Magic the Gathering. |
