We should take this moment to bask in your glory and reflect on our inability to grasp all that encompasses this greatness.

You gonna cry? Go ahead and pout... and pout hard. It's not my fault some uninformed mook is erroneously comparing this film to 'The Transpoter' (side note: the novel which this film is based off of, was actually in its creative process dating back to early 2001, long before 'The Transporter' was even put into production as a film). I mean, I shouldn't even have to go down this route considering the films have nothing in common besides the point that Driver is hired for a couple get-a-way jobs (yeah, because 'The Transporter' did that before any previous drive-heist movie and all ). Maybe you should all just stick to your shitty Fast and Furious movies or something... I hear Justin Lin has another one going into production soon, 'cause that's exactly what American film making needs to stimulate this industry, is another fucking glossed-out, CG-ramped riceburner film. Oh, and I wouldn't want you or anyone on here for that matter to conform to my opinions and views. You're nowhere near my level when it comes to this stuff, so none of you could even begin to comprehend exactly why I can decipher and translate every bit of film making that is thrown my way. Suck it. |

'Drive' does share some similarities to 'The Transporter', but they are only general similarities. If you'd like a true comparison piece, I'd encourage you to check out Walter Hill's 'The Driver', one of the truest spiritual predecessors to 'Drive'.

And if we here are so much 'bellow' you. Then by all means go to some other forum which deals with movies not Anime/Manga.

May our Lord Tetra Vaal bless our wayward souls,
that we may see other opinions as complete idiocy and the inability to grasp our awesomeness, but listen here child, none is at the level of our Lord, all who say otherwise must be insulted with words that should make it painfully obvious how smart we are, and do not forget to end your post with a declaration of victory over the non-believers. Amen.

On topic, after hearing so much praise for this, it'll probably be the next thing I see when I go to the movies. Unless something I want to see more comes out first, but I can't think of anything on the horizon. |
