I hate the recent rise of Antique/Pawn Store reality programming. Maybe if Pawn Stars was the only variation of this theme, I would be okay with the phenomenon. But there are currently 6+ programs dedicated to this format, and they just get progressively more annoying.

The Simpsons.
Ok, let me elaborate, I used to like it. But the turning point was when Flanders' wife got killed, by Homer's sheer stupidity. Now I looked back at some episodes and some of them really appears to me as irredeemable pile of steaming shit. Where to begin? Homer getting molested by a Panda? The Simpson Gene? The Saw spoof by Marge's sisters? The list is long, I never liked Lisa and Marge in the first place, everytime Lisa pulled the cardboard militant show, or Marge pulling everything I hate about soccer moms, I groaned and cringed. And let's not get started on Homer, how did he go from the dad struggling for his family's respect to.. that sociopathic adult child? I think at times that this show should just pull the plug. Really, I don't know anymore. |

Holy crap, the Simpsons. Yea, that show really needs to die even though I used to like it. It's really just a zombie show that lives off its former glory. Family guy is becoming like this too, they just wrecked the characters at some point.

Jersey Shore. Just.... dear god....
It has become the most popular, "in" thing at my school right now. It even has its own fanclub here. After being sick and forced to do nothing but watch TV, I decided to see what all the comotion was about. After a marathon of 6 episodes, it makes me loose faith in humanity's future..... really. (I think that show just made me more sick that day.) Another thing would be the sheer amount of those paranormal ghost reality shows. I used to like watching Ghost Hunters once in a while, but now there's like a billion of them: Paranormal State, Ghost Adventures, Celebrity Ghost Stories, Ghost Cops, Some animal planet show.... etc etc.... The list could go on forever. It's not that I hate them, it's just getting a little too much. On top of the paranormal stuff bringing in ratings, the amount of "Monster Quest" and "Beast/Sea Monster Hunter" shows are also annoying me. I mean, they never once find the damn thing, why do they even bother and why should I waste my time waiting to find nothing at the end? This rant could go on for a long time but I'll just end it here.

From anywhere around 2001 to 2006 or so I thought it was pretty bad, but I hear that it has gotten better around the time The Simpsons Movie hit. I don't really mean to hate on the newer Simpsons episodes, but I do hate seeing a show that was so good at one point be milked so badly, and forced to be kept on air so long. They should have ended the show when the quality went down, I think. Make the show have a better standing legacy. But it sounds like you still like it, so maybe it isn't all that bad. But from what I've seen of episodes of it in the last decade, I haven't liked much of it.
