Watched episode 3:

One of the twins distract the girl, then another one grab the leg. Oomura fell for that one. They got the national kendo champion on their team. Strong swing, just have to teach her the basics on hitting a ball.

Nozomi, another experienced player. I think she is now convinced that this team is serious, after witnessing that conversation between Tama and Yomi.

Things looking good. Everyone cooperating on practice. I hope their practice match goes well.

They were optimistic, but can they get anywhere with only nine players?

I thought this was pleasant enough, but not sufficiently compelling to follow it for an entire season.

I've watched another girl baseball show manage with almost the same number of players. So the team here would probably do just fine.

looking forward to next week.

I don't know if the rules for female baseball are exactly the same, but if they are, I wish Yomi good luck. No way she can pitch for 9 innings every match.

Big difference between the simulcast and the TV versions this week. The former was full of QUALITY like you wouldn't believe, while the latter looked like usual.

At this point, I think they should just go full CG like that band anime since the characters not only look bad, but they don't even look the same between scenes, sometimes going way beyond sports girl to some kind of doping macho.

Yikes, I've seen my share of unfinished, "QUALITY" episodes, but this one was something else. They even forgot to remove the number from an animation cut. Funimation should seriously look into replacing this with the broadcast version.

I'm not sure what happened here, since Wakanim got the finished version. Why are there even two completely different versions? Did they send Funimation the episodes weeks in advance? Because it surely took them more than a few days to fix this.

As for the actual content of the episode, they did a bit too well against such a strong team, even considering the pitcher didn't take them seriously at first and the real ace didn't enter until late in the game.

Watched episode 4:

I never complained before, but why at several parts during the game, people looked severely deformed? Is there a better version of this episode somewhere?

Losing is ok, it's a practice game. What's important is the experience that they gained from this. Yomi is getting better, and she earned the respect of the pitcher of the other team.

EDIT: going to rewatch with the ATX version.

Dang, I watched the "fixed" version and it was bad.
And there is a even worse version?! Now I have to watch it again!
Well, I guess you can say that is a way to get people to watch your show multiple times if all else fails.

If the top one is supposed to be the "fixed" one, then I'm a bit disappointed. I was looking forward to this too because the key visuals made it look like they paid particular attention to detail for muscle tone.

I guess not everyone can be Dogakobo.

Watched ATX version episode 4:

Much better than the Funimation version vomit I've seen last night..

Overall, they did well against a team they were not supposed to beat yet.
Yomi start losing confidence on remembering bad experience, but Tama cheers her up again. If Asakura had not come into the second half, they actually have a chance. Akiko getting lucky with that last hit, allowing Nozomi to bat.. she hit it, but unfortunately not enough.

Ugh, no more of that Funimation crap please. Not asking for Priconne level of animation... I'm a simple man, not hard to please.. just keep up the quality that this episode has, and I would finish this anime to the end. Would even buy something from it as support, I have the extra money.

Well, they took care of the lack of relief pitchers. That was the main hurdle. Senpai (Risa?) looks like she will do fine, and I suppose Ibuki has potential with her sharingan.

enjoyed this episode. Yoshino reminds me of Koyori from Shakunetsu Musume with that moving hair. ^^

they lose all practice match, but what's important is the experience gained.

so their advisor is a former baseball player too, and she's a good one.

looking forward to next week.

Their first win, but we have no idea how strong their opponents were supposed to be. Yoshino sure had done a lot of research though. Anyway, this should give everyone a much needed confidence boost.

Probably not a lot, if their ace loads bases on balls right from the start.

Overall a positive episode. Get their first win after many losses in team practice. Yoshino really a good at planning.. Nozomi got her confidence back. Everyone else is learning at a good pace as well.

Happy b-day Yomi. ^^

looking forward to next week.

Thought it was nice Yoshino got her own uniform too. She's an invaluable part of the team after all.

Tournament will start next week. They, or rather Yoshino, has chosen not to let Yomi play the first match. Makes sense since their opponents appear to be a week team and their next one will be a powerhouse if they win.
