This does brings me back to the first season when Shirou talked about losing relationships with the Landers- Back then most of us probably thought that beyond the obvious logistic problems it's no big deal as Adventurers are stronger than Landers. Now imagine if all of the Royal Guards had revolted

Admittedly I'm more invested in the Raid that's going on, but I'm sensing an common theme between these two parallel stories given that both involved the Kunie clan.

Yeah i am more into seeing how the raid goes instead of 15mins with Akatsuki depressing.

A pissed off Souji was quite the sight to see. Also the fact that only Kazuhiko and Shiroe can snap him out of it makes me more curious about Debauchery Tea Party.

Wonder how things will go now that the main trio has actually been wiped out.

damaging for both sides but worst overall for the landers. The RG armor is power by a magic circle beneath the city. Take out the circle and the RG is useless AND monster now invade cities directly. Adventurers can still survive without cities but lander just lost their last refuge.

Take it out how? If all the guards chose to turn on the Adventurers, there would be more than enough of them to defend the source of their power.

Am I bad person if I want cover half of this episode faces with Terraformers black circles?

That aside, content itself is handled well, Souji, Sia and Akatsuki was all great enough to keep me watch especially abundant QUALITY, this time around.

depends on my how RG there are. there is 15k adventures. just in akiba. If the adventure how enough of a numbers advantage they can have nough people to keep the RG occupy while others go wreck the circle. Just treat the RG like raid boss and despite the power of the armor the majority of the pilots don't have much fighting experience.

also adventures can't die. They can keep coming back again and again and again and again. I doubt the landers can go fighting straight for several days at a time. They will need maintenance, food and rest.

Plus why revolt? There really isn't any reason to do so.

Some Landers already view Adventurers as simple meatshields anyway.

The people in the armor aren't going to be the ones without experience. Also, the guards can teleport, so you can't occupy them if they don't want to be. And odds are there are limited ways to access the area where the circle is, and more than enough guards to cover all of them. If the Adventurers can't even hurt the guards, it doesn't matter how many of them there are: they won't get through.

the guards can teleport away but the circle can't. The guards have to stay where they are to play defense.

But if they're playing defense no one is getting past them. A line of infantry across a hallway prevents passage, and when that infantry is invulnerable it doesn't matter how many bodies you throw at it.

Because they are sicked at being seen as Adventurer lapdog ? At least this guy does.

City raiding happen all the time in games like WoW or Lineage or any pvp oriented MMO. A group of organized players can overrun town guards or at least hold them long enough to accomplish whatever they want to do. Assuming the guards don't have any instant kill mechanic which ET doesn't seem to have. Souji may not won but he can fight for awhile. A group of girls can stall him long enough for Souji arrival. A royal guard is fightable. I'm pretty sure one legion raid (100 ppl grp like the one Crusty lead against goblins back in season 1) can took care of magic circle fine, let alone all 15k adventurers. However as Xellos said the outcome won't be pretty for either side.



About the episode: I find the animation is getting worse and worse. It's painful to watch. Souji battle doesn't look as epic as it should be. And I will never get used to this new character design if their face keep changing from scene to scene. I hope they are saving budget for more Shiroe's epic raid fight.

Spoiler for Next episode ??:

After the end of this episode, I believe logical choice would be switch back to Shiroe's raid and see how he fare over there but judging from the preview it seem they are going to continue through Akatsuki story ? I don' know how will that turn out.

they are strong but not invulnerable.

The adventures can do rotating battles. Anyone who dies will come back and anyone who gets tire replace by fresh.

The guards can't do that. They are nail to the front door and can rotate out the same way adventures. And if armor id destroy i doubt it is that easy to repair or replace one.

Yet they made note specifically that nothing they did to this guy took off even a single sliver of his HP, and that his status bar looked very strange. I doubt that was an accident.
