The amount of personality they captured into Nikki's character into this episode imo is pretty impressive.

From Nikki's perspective, it looks like she really enjoyed Lilian's music work especially given how talented she is. The amount of feels this episode...damn. Those tears are real.

Also, I gotta give credit to the Senku shoutouts. A lot of emotions were poured into yelling that.

I'm not sure I'd say this was good or bad luck on Senku's part. They could have had an easier time bluffing someone else but as a super-fan Nikki is also more trustworthy in terms of preserving this last relic of Lillian.

Funny to hear so much of "Lillian" this episode, with all that Engrish. They already told Taiju to just goes along with whatever he heard, but I love Yuzuriha's expression when she catches on to what Senku's plan is. So that's one recruit, probably a couple dozen more to go.

Hope they drop the "tricking people into believing that help is on the way" part of the plot and find another way to convince people to join them.

Kobayashi Yuusuke is indeed an amazing and extremely hardworking VA with an interesting backstory. Ditched his white-collared job after a few years to pursue his dream with his Dad's blessing, and for many years been playing a few side-characters, and even had this self-imposed rivalry with Matsuoka (Kirito/Souma/other harem kings etc.) when the later was already playing tons of main characters.

In his mind, he was bent on playing main characters and never gave up on his goal. Reaching 30, savings depleted, just as his manager told him maybe it was about time to give up, he got his break in Arslan followed by Re:Zero. And he has been playing quite a few main characters regularly in the last few years.

You could tell this one hit home hard! The memories lived on, thanks to Senku's record of Lillian's music. I wonder if we will get the full song by the end of the season/series?

Good on them for both getting an ally and going forward with honesty at the end there. Because honestly that's enough to get the job done in this case. Can't bring back the songs that are gone. Short of getting a time machine...the CDs, hard drives, etc are all gone. But that one song can survive and be kept alive.

Credit to Yuzuriha who followed things pretty well considering she hasn't been watching the show here . Even if she couldn't figure out how everything was happening she was following up fine.

And hey Taiju's insane determination made a return here. Just kept on taking punches until Nikki listened to what he had to say .

Things are sure moving a lot faster now, but then they are working on a deadline (win the war before spring). Its always fun to see the characters in different clothing (even if it just to show off Senku's next creation).

Nice to hear Ukyo's voice, after how much other characters have hyped him (with his super hearing and his archery too). That was close for Chrome but I like seeing him get a serious moment too, being willing to die for his ideals. At least he's safe for now, physically anyway. Its him accidentally blabbing something that's the bigger potential problem (hilarious to have Kohaku point out that problem to get Senku to focus).

To be honest with some marketing and showing what can senku do I think it won't be hard to make most of the people of tsukasa empire to join him without doing the america plan.

From the POV of a modern human, following Tsukasa beats starving, but it doesn't beat reclaiming a modern lifestyle. I mean, Gen joined for the cola, Nikki for the music record, probably most of them have that kind of desire in them.

After watching the most recent episode, I notice that Tsukasa is quite the hypocrite. He states that he doesn't want technology, since it leads to war and machines or war. Yet, here he is, ruling by strength, power, and fear, while using weapons of war, albeit primitive technology, to start another war with the Nation of Science.

Hence, he is just your typical dictator/authoritarian who says fluff and promises wonderful things, but at the end of the day, rules through an iron fist. He is no better than what he preaches.

He seemed a pretty serious hypocrite from the start. His earliest actions after survival was to start an intended massacre of billions of adults. Of course to be fair somehow Senku and Taiju figure they are fighting a bloodless war against a mass murderer who has killed who knows how many people at this point. Yeah, they are in stone stasis, but...still killing people. A peaceful world without machines in war...built on an unbelievable amount of blood and corpses.

Is definitely a pretty typical dictator. He knows what technology is good and what is bad. The line is wherever feels vaguely appropriate for him. If he cares that much about the natural world then his plan should be to kill all humans and then himself. Even if he stops Senku, technology is going to develop after his death. His minimalist society is going to expand over time and without any technological means to keep tabs on a global population...technology is going to develop whether he likes it or not. All he's doing is putting humanity into temporary stagnation for his own ego.

OK, so they now have a car that's not the Flintstones model (i.e. running it with your feet), but how do they steer? It truly is like the Tamiya Mini 4WDs plastic model race cars, but still, that was a bit of a hole in the story.

Isn't the car running off of steam? Are they also burning coal or wood? Why was the smoke black?

How do you think Steam Train operates from the start? The Steam Train also emits black smoke since it uses wood or coal as a fuel to heat up water.

That's what I wanted to know. I didn't remember seeing them burn any wood or coal, and they just as well could have been using electricity to heat up the water.

It does before electricity was invented and used on the train. You need a bunch of woods, coal, or oils to keep the engine running since if you lack something to heat the water to generate steam, your engine will be dead.

This I know. Like I said, I just didn't remember seeing them using or burning wood or coal, and assumed they were using some other means to heat the water. So, when the smoke came out black I was confused.

They've been burning coal for a while now. It wasn't a big thing, but the first season did show them gathering coal when Senku made those stoves for the village, and then they used that stove as the core of their new vehicle.

Funny to see Magma sent flying by their new steam gorilla. I always found it odd that Senku didn't bother to make paper before now, it wasn't a hard thing to make (Kaseki even mentions all the wasted leather) but it does lead to the cool introduction of their paper tank then (thanks to the plastic they got earlier too).

Too bad Chrome didn't get to see the new engine/car but at least he's about to get his spotlight time.
