Correlation does not equal causation.

Though it is looking like the Beserk Skill project might be involved.

However what caused the incident with Kongo? The Queen?

How many level 4 telepaths are there? Could some other talent trigger RSPK events, like AIM Seeker or Vector Control or Telekinesis?

Has Kiyama found a way to get the Board to intervene in finding a cure for the Beserk Skill casualties?

While we are at it, is Kongo ever going to use her ability? She might as well be Uiharu for the use she makes of it.

Nice comparison there. lol
But umm.. to be honest I find it also a bit ridiculous THAT you found out. XD
Was it that obvious?
Oh well, I don't really mind people copying stuff.
The complete general structure of Academy City is a rip-off from a real life city so hey, a tad bit plagiarism won't hurt at this point, no?XD

Both series are J.C Staff, they're just recycling backgrounds.

2.- The POWER OF MONEY
3.- The teamwork which she does not perform ever.
4.- Her own worries, lack of tactics, impotence, pride, stress and fatigue.

@Haak

Without any spoilers, simply put she couldn't defeat Accelerator, nor could she defeat the seemingly unlimited resources used to carry out the experiment.

I really don't like how Uiharu seems to be blowing off all her other friends for Haruue. Kind of silly, really. Then again, she never really displayed maturity in any form so far.

Uiharu's overprotective behavior may seem annoying, but I think it's an important part of her character. She's developing to the point where she feels she has something important to give to a friendship, even if it is misguided. I think it's actually a sign of her budding maturity, because she's willing to take on the responsibility of being in that protective role.

It's also providing some drama through interpersonal conflict that is in contrast to the usual "we're all such great friends" thing that we've been seeing for most of the series.

Railgun is not only a sidestory of Index, but has own its plot.
*Seriously resisting the temptation to elaborate on how far superior Railgun is over Index*

I'll just say... They better make Railgun season two!

Only three more episodes left?

Eh. They don't have to have drama with each other though; they can have it with OTHER people

And I agree; the only thing Index really has going for it are the ridiculous powers involved. It loses in character development etc.

EXCEPT FOR RAILGUN FILLER. DON'T FORGET THAT PART.

Yeah, but even Railgun filler is still fun stuff.

Well Index talks about the Magical side of the Toaru universe, while Railgun talks about the Scientific side of the universe. They are essentially the same story, but with different perspectives of the happenings in and to Academy City.

Touma is a catalyst for both, since his Imagine Breaker is both anti-magic and anti-psi. He is now more of a guardian to Index while indirectly being Biribiri's love interest.

Konori eats alot, drinks alot of milk, and doesn't grow fat. Does all the fat she accumulates go into her boobs and butt?

It's not just the story, it's the production value. Better writing, better directing. I had to force myself to finish Index. With Railgun, I can't wait for the next episode.

I wanted to gag when I saw how much milk she was drinking.

Just a matter of taste. I actually think the other way round.
I still also can't wait for the next episode though, but that would count for any To Aru...-related stuff for me.

Personally I feel like the Index light novel and the anime were basically the same (despite production value etc.) The anime follows it almost word for word.

That's one thing that's annoyed me a little. Not that they are similar, but that there's no translation for comparison.

I apologize if I'm whining, but it does annoy me that unlike the Haruhi, ToraDora, and Spice and Wolf animes, this one doesn't have the original novels available for comparison.

Anyway, I support the opinion that Railgun is the better of the two. Not only is Mikoto a lot more compelling a character than Index ever was in my opinion, but there's some actual continuity in the storytelling instead of being broken into discrete chunks that don't really relate to each other.

My take in this is Harrue is not directly responsible for the RSPK. But the mere fact she appears to have a telepathic communication with a victim of Kihara Sr.'s power berserk experiments may be the problem.

Anyone else notice that there was yet another nod to Saten's unusually acute sense of smell/taste in this episode? She can apparently identify watermelons grown in Academy City by taste, and doesn't like them. Even if her actual power isn't related to that, she certainly seems to have an acknowledged talent of some sort in that area... Also, if they actually wanted to make a level 1 or 2 ability useful before the end of the series, a 'bloodhound' type ability would probably fit the bill...

Well, rather than refering to Uiharu, I really liked Kuroko this time.
She was like... normal?! I mean, a bit. But at some point she was, and cool at that. =o

She definitely has a strong sense of duty doesn't she? I wonder if she would react the same if it were Misaka in question.
