This anime has consistently managed to impress me with its soundtrack and its placement through the episodes, especially in this one (like the scene where Mikasa goes to hug Eren).
Bravo to the creators, bravo.

And after watching it, I believe this episode will spawn the following fan-pairings based on certain scenes:

ReinerXAnnie (Reiner actually seems kinda cute when he talks to Annie, and a bit awkward...then again it IS Annie we're talking about)
ConnieXSasha ("I'll spank you later..." oh context...hell, even in context)
MarcoXJean (So obvious as to why this will totally be a thing on the web)

And Armin is forever alone lol. I'm surprised Sasha didn't try to eat the Titan when she jumped down from the ceiling. This was episode was amazing.

Spoiler for Eren:

Eren has yet to kill a Titan with a sword though.

I beg to differ, he intertwined his fingers with Eren's!

lol I need stop trusting preview shots.

That said, this was a hell of an episode. A bit more stills then I thought would be in, but things came together pretty well, especially the Titan fights. Look Armin has finally found his niche, everyone more or less survived because of his plan and Jean's developing into something of a leader now. The reunion at the end though was probably my favorite part of the the episode.

Many people gonna cry Deus ex machine for this episode. But renegade titan is so bad ass, I may overlook this one. I wonder if he can do that again or it is one time use ?
It's only DEM if one hadn't been paying attention to the foreshadow in ep2.

This anime has really caught me off guard, I'm purposely not reading the manga because I want to keep being shocked by its story. That being said, the soundtrack as well is just simply amazing. From Episode 7 scene with mikasa to the last scene with her in episode 8. Everything about the soundtrack fits perfectly with the scene they are conveying.

For Pete's sake, this has got to stop being such an incredible anime. Action packed yet somewhat emotional at the same time - last ones to get that right (IMO) that I've seen were Psycho-Pass and Phantom: Requiem of the Phantom.

Yet Attack on Titan does it so much better than the pair of them.

I'd vote 11/10 if I could for this episode.

But reading the manga gets you more attached and knowledgeable to the characters. If anything it has made me more emotionally attached to everyone.

Everything was a ten outa ten except the stills it killed reiners joke about shoving swords up titans buttholes as a weak spot. And kinda toned down the dialogue between the cast.

Other than that epic episode. Annie got to look boss getting her kill mikasa can't be the only super woman,Eren went on a titan killing spree beating titans as if they owed him money. Mikasa x Eren bought out feels as always. Jean got to shine as a leader. Marco got to man marco u just might as well kill yourself he then made himself a cape of death flags. Eren got to shine as strategist.

Did I mention how bad ass Eren going mma on the titans was don't even feel like watching the ufc160 ppv I bought that gave me my fill of mma violence for the day lol.

Also man does this writer put in attention to detail I gotta re read the manga again.

If this keeps up attack on titan is going to be my favorite anime/manga its about as action packed as gants yet I care for every character and the story telling in it is off the charts the foreshadowing, the natural flow of interactions, everything making sense. If this keeps up I am just going to assume the maker of attack on titan saw a alternate universe and all this shit actually happened somewhere because it flows just way to well.

Alright, so while I knew the second I saw that obvious-Eren-like-Titan last ep that he didn't die, what surprised me was how he came back. So his human body was in the neck area of the Titan? Well, considering that the Titan's weakness is that same area, does that mean the other Titans are 'piloted' the same way, and that slashing the back of the neck kills said pilot? I guess the question is, who or what is inside all the other Titans...

Maybe the reason the military/government is after Eren's head from the preview is because they might know something about this?

Don't spoil me, btw.

I know we have said this a million times already, but PLEASE use the images tag (or thumbnails) when posting big images.

Putting them inside spoiler tags is pointless and a complete waste of time for everybody.

Speaking of ep5, think they should give us an answer to one of the questions next ep.

Eren's Titan form is rather different from the others. Remember the when the other Titans died, and they melted leave behind a skeleton? Well nothing came out of them unlike here.

However the other Titans may have something else in place of where Eren would be.

This really explains how the Titans disappear so easily. All Titans could be humans. I mean, that intelligence they have. They could also have a reason for ruining mankind. Only men would eat without being hungry.
