lol, wait, they're Martians ? That means they're born on a planet which has abot 1/3 the gravity of Earth . LOL . How could they possibly survive to the Earth's gravity ?

Maybe they've discovered the artificial gravity, Star Trek style .

There wouldn't be problems if they are 1st gen coordinators with changes made to accommodate low gravity conditions. Since people live on space stations long term already, that doesn't seem unlikely... Either that, or there was simply future medicines designed to counteract muscle and skeletal atrophy due to frequency of people getting involved with space travel.

Ok, but I meant is he the one that stole the Red Frame Mars Jacket?

EDIT: ok, I found my answer

So, it's not the Red Frame, but a massproduced M1?

This may solve some things...

In the Cosmic Era world where we live, they discovered a giant space whale and from that point on, people began to have a passion towards space. Everyone in the DSSD are representatives of that. Every Martian was apart of a space venture and are now people who permanently stayed on Mars from the "Mars Immigration Plan."

Perhaps the meaning of existence lies within their will to fight.
People feel a sense of accomplishment through battle.
And it’s also a fact that the ones actually fighting are never perceived as being tainted.

I thought ZAFT developed the WoL technology on their own, but couldn't use it due to power requirements and the Junius Seven treaty. At least that's the story I always heard.

fear the power of retcon!

...Actually, it's true that the WoL tech can't operate without nuclear-level power. That's why the official website mentioned specifically that that mobile suit is nuclear in this manga.

Gilbert could have stolen the technology, but was unable to implement it due to the treaty. (The difference between "develop" and "stolen" can be quite narrow in engineering... ZAFT just needed to make a few minor changes in order to call it "their" invention. Quite illegal, but you can't prove it)

The treaty became null and void the second the Alliance attacked PLANT in Episode 1.

Anyone else think Diago Lowell looks a lot like Garrod Ran in that picture at the bottom of the Story page?

This was before episode 1 of GSD.

No it isn't... Delta takes place right when Junius Seven falls and PLANT is attacked with nukes... When you said "Gilbert could have stolen the technology, but was unable to implement it due to the treaty.", I was referring to the fact that the treaty was bunk when the Alliance attacked PLANT to steal the Gundams, so there should have been no stopping him from implementing the technology.

Well, regardless the Destiny Gundam was in planning stages even near the end of Gundam Seed. WoL could be a late addition the same way the Doms got their beam shields as additions.

We know for sure Destiny Gundam was at least at the blue-print stage before the end of GS. This is a fact supplied by Bandai. Unless it's been retconed, this is what happened.

Is it me or Delta Astray's sword looks a lot like the one planted in a Gouf at the end of GSD?

Wait. I've seen a manga scan which showed the Delta Astray destroying MS by flying through them with its wings. How is that even possible if Destiny's wings are supposed to be copies of Delta's wings? The Destiny couldn't do that...

Couldn't? Or didn't?

Isn't it simply that Destiny uses the same basic physical principle of the Voiture Luminière, reverse-engineering the technology for the Destiny Gundam, rather than using the exact same device?

It sounds similar to how the Soviets reverse-engineered the radar technology of the F-4 Phantom II (retrieved from shot down examples in Vietnam) for the MiG-23's Sky Lark radar, albeit with different capabilities.

So, Destiny's WoL aren't the same as Delta Astray's VL.

Delta Astray's are also 'fractured' so that can also explain some things...

I know I'm bumping up a seemingly old topic, but I just thought I'd let everyone know that we released the first volume of this manga series. You can snag it here
