The later novels explain that the Whispered were the by-product of a failed Soviet experiment, i think.

Wasn't the TAROS, the thing that failed what caused that the childs born in that day to be whispereds? (24 dec of 85 I think, when Tessa and Kaname were born) but thinking about it, there is one thing that crushes that theory, Leonard, being older than Tessa.

I'm certain that is something like that.

All the whispered have access to the same main base of knowledge, but they also have a subject that they are the only one to have access to (for Tessa it's electro-magnetism, Bunny IA...)

Whispered can't really read each other mind, but they can communicate with each other (even send memories), but if they don't take care, there mind could "amalgam"

The more a Whispered wants to have access to knowledge the more he is prone to lose himself, it's what has happened to the creator of the ARX-7.

The Omega Sphere accident has happened the 12/24/1981, the anime don't use the good date and it's the source of the Whispered it's stated in the novel, even if Tessa and Leonard are not born at the exact same time they were still new born babies at this moment and that could explain the fact that Leonard is a better Whispered than Tessa.

Black Technology is knowledge coming from the future nothing more.

I see, thanks for the info, I read it somewhere but I barely remembered the details xP, but I thought that Leonard was at least a year older than Tessa.
