After watching episodes like this it always makes me think.
Damn, why does this anime have 25 episodes right off the bat. The plot seems too stretched. They could've done a 12 or 13 episode season to see how it'd go. So far, I wouldn't watch another season of this. It's mostly debates, strategies and very, very little fights. The only bright thing this time were the princess and her megane guy ^^ The rest was pretty much useless and boring, except the very end of episode. Maybe things will be more promising next time.

I'd call it world building and plot development myself. |

This has been the episode i was waiting for, watching Crusty's conversations with the princess is very amusing. Definitely the best couple Just a couple questions;
What are the chances of their relationship turning romantic? Crusty seems to be using her as a replacement for his sister, and it seems she might have a little crush on him. Also is it Raynessia or Laynessia? Also it seems to be a recipe for disaster, two groups of people trying to live next to each other and co-exist while keeping secrets and underhanded deals. |

That was some nice character building for Krusty, he's really good at social combat and trolling
Rusty should shut up and manage his aggo, i am still having horrible flashback when watching the beginner group in action -_-;. Regan made a grand entrance , cant wait to see next episode. |

Also...I think I need to save all the princesses freaked out reaction faces. They are highly relevant to my interests.

This anime also teaches interesting concepts and I believe encourages people, particularly the youth demographic of the time slot that LH runs in, to think more about games (and other forms of media) as something more than simple entertainment; how they could apply what they have learned to determine and exploit how the world works. The MMO gaming references are simply icing on the cake from my perspective. On the other hand, the series does get more action-oriented as time goes on. |

this kind of strategy novels don't get animes that much, even if they get animes they turn these into fan service animes. this series is good in terms of that. I don't like classic shounen main characters. all they do keep fighting and fighting. they don't use their brain and get somehow cheating mysterious power or end up being chosen by someone. there are many strategy novel that are good but they don't get animes so now many people know them

And that kinda justifies splitting the group into the veterans and the newbies. The newbie's part show us the mmorpg mechanics and action. |

As the princess has already stated, Crusty is a very, very bad boy.
All those faces our lazy princess makes is priceless, her voice makes her seemed a lot younger than she appears or maybe it's just her dress. Tough luck for our newbie team getting stuck with a irresponsible Sorcerer. Man, when people start blaming the tank or the healer for the party wipes it just becomes a very ugly situation.

I am guessing that the Izumi Knights are Eastal's strongest fighting force? Makes me curious how strong they are and what they are like.
I was not sure what kind of character Raynessia was going to be since we had only two cliffhangers end with her appearance, but her character and voice actor make a winning combination with Crusty. I had flashbacks with Civilization when the noble asked Michitaka for technology relating to the steam engine, rather than ask for help exterminating the goblin infestation.
