Go DC animation. I thought it was all but dead aside from the cringe inducing Teen Titans Go. xD

- G.I. Joe
- Inspector Gadget
- Bucky O'Hare
- He-Man and the Masters of the Universe
- Inhumanoids (that show was very underrated. The creepiness factor probably had a hand in that)

But, I also took a liking to many of the cartoons of the early 90's:
- Tiny Toon Adventures
- Animaniacs
- Batman: TAS
- Gargoyles
- SWAT Kats
- Freakazoid!
- The Tick

And when Cartoon Network started doing original shows:
- Dexter's Laboratory
- Cow & Chicken
- The Powerpuff Girls (which had the most impact on the course of my life. and which I technically still love till this very day)

And there were also the very early cartoons of Loony Tunes, Tom & Jerry, and most of the Hanna-Barbera shows that aired between the 50's and 80's (e.g. The Flintstones, Scooby-Doo, Where Are You?). Plus, all the Disney shorts from before cartoons started airing on TV, not to mention shows like Ducktales, and all the animated feature films they made before they started sucking.

By the mid-2000's, they pretty much stopped showing them here on TV and my interest for them fizzled out, even more so when I started getting into anime.
You should know that Western animation is currently going through a Golden Age of sorts and has some amazing shows currently airing. I could suggest some to you, that is if you're getting a little tired of current anime trends.

@Lord of Fire : I watched so many of those. I`ll add Wacky Races as well.
Except it was French dubs, can`t call Inspector Gadget`s french version a dub.

Most of my favorites when I was a kid were French series from that time :
Il était une fois...(Once upon a time...) series with La vie(Life) being my favorite. Very educative.
Les mondes engloutis(Spartakus and the Sun Beneath the Sea)
Les Mystérieuses Cités d'or(The Mysterious Cities of Gold)
Clémentine. I remember it being rather dark for a kid show and Malmoth was scary.

Astérix, Lucky Luck, Spirou et Fantasio, Les Schtroumpfs...
I also watched Oggy et les cafards(Oggy and the Cockroaches) and Les zinzins de l`espace(Space Goofs) with my nephew a few years back. Good times.

I don't know if you guys would count it as a Western animation but when I read the most recent post which said something about french dubs it reminded me of a french animation where it centered around an MC that needs to kill and harvest the souls of every living being to go back in time. I was wondering if anybody knows what the animation is called as it's been a long time since I last saw it and I can't seem to find it again.

I remember occasionally seeing Once Upon A Time..... normally shown with schools programes.

The Mysterious Cities of Gold was very good, as was Ulysses 31. Both are borderline animes, being animated by Japanese studios, though the scripts were French written.

There were many Spanish cartoons in the 1980s which were animated in Japan.

I'm assuming that he wasn't referring to the currently airing Once Upon a Time? :P

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Once_Upon_a_Time... (note the ellipsis)

And now that I looked it up, I remember this show. Life was quite interesting in showing us how the human body worked. I think I saw one other part of the franchise, but I forgot which one.

French animation is vastly underrated.

Also on an unrelated note happy birthday to me.

I only remember seeing the history series, which was very good.

Happy birthday, TC. You get to vote soon, right ? Good for you.

@RichardFromMarple : Ulysses 31 ? That was one of my oldest brother`s favorites, I barely remember it.

When I was looking around wiki, I found out that :
A series I thought was American, wasn`t at all... The Popples is a Canada-France-Japan production.
Once Upon a Time... was release in the Arab states of the Persian Gulf and Israel.

Since I don`t want the TC to feel left out...
I don`t have much time to watch much of anything anymore, but those last years I watched some series like Totally Spies, Total Drama Island and Detentionaire.
Is it wrong that my main reason for watching Detentionaire was Principal Barrage ?

Yes I am now able to vote. A vote which will most assuredly be going to Sanders. :P

Have you watched any of the other Total Drama series?

TDI`s opening song is so catchy.
I only watched the original and BttI.
I saw a couple of episodes of Action, World Tour and All-stars.
I was a little disappointed that All-stars had cut the opening short.

I know I only saw two episodes of the new series, but... For someone who saw the original Max Steel, I have to say that it`s really different. I don`t remember the original having aliens.

Couple of oldies like samura jack, courage the cowardly dog and the grim adventures of billy and mandy. The recent stuff like adventure time, regular show and steven universe are amazing. When it comes to action young justice is good

Yeah the theme song is great. I find it cool that the actual series was made in Canada and that it takes place in Canada, at least for the first few seasons.

I watched a little bit of the new Max Steel series but the CGI was so off putting I eventually dropped it. It had an interesting premise though.

I put Young Justice on the same level as Attack on Titan. Young Justice would have been much higher without all the hiatuses, inconsistent scheduling and timeskips though.
