I will try safe mode when I get home. And no, no BSOD before the reboot. It just loads, displays all the stuff on my desktop and the screen turns black and goes back to the "Windows XP Home Edition" screen.

Isthis error repeatable, can you reproduce it consistently or have you just logged on once.

Okay, so I booted it in safe mode and used a restore point to go back a month earlier. I decided to restart the computer again and did the rebooting thing gain so I repeated the process and then used Spybot.
Turned this computer off for the night and when I started it up, it didn't reboot so I think the problem's solved now.
