Am I the only one that's asking myself "What the hell is this anomaly doing in my OP sequence?"
"decent black" isn't bad per se, but it's simply unsettling to see her smile at me like that. o_o;;;

This episode confused the heck out of me. It took me some time to realize what was the purpose of this episode.

After finishing it... I guess I could characterize this episode as "unique". I haven't read the original material so I can't compare it.

I initially thought that it was a 20ish minute episode so I was confused by this overly slow start --- not that I mind slow anime. Rokka No Yuusha was really slow but I loved it. It confused me because I thought that the episode would end but nothing had happened :P

I'll check out the next few episodes to see if this is my cup of tea or not.

Actually, I have not. I learned not too long after posting my previous post that this series had several seasons.

No wonder I was confused as hell.

yeah, jumping into this without knowing anything else must've been so wonky and confusing. You should check out Bakemonogatari (first season in the series) if you remotely liked anything that went down in Owarimonogatari.

Start all the way from Bakemonogatari can be confusing enough.
Jumping to Owarimonogatari all of sudden. The confusion would be unimaginable.

Indeed. Fair warning: Bakemonogatari starts with some relationships already established, some events already happened and so on. (The novels are the same...)

So you're really only trading one confusion for another.

The gatari series isnt as confusing as everyone is making it out to seem. Most of the questions get answered along the way as well as new questions appearing. if u watch from bake to the most recent there shouldnt be any confusion.
