Tsukimonogatari (part of Final Season) Discussion

So Araragi has for the summer of someone's seventeenth a doll. I just hope it is as well received as the Australian classic play by Ray Lawler has been over the succeeding years.

Kinda surprised they didn't announce anything after the final episode today. As for this series, it was fairly well done imo especially the soundtrack and dialogues. The final episode was amusing to watch though with Senjougahara's teasing and I find Ononoki's role in this to be handled quite well.

It's always so nice to spend new year's eve watching monogatari.
These one off adaptions are always done well. It's all smooth, like Tsukihi's tight muchi body...

Now the adaptions have caught up to where I've read, I better get motivated.

But there was an announce... sort of announce, small hint like it was with Tsuki and Hahamonogatari, when SHAFT announced them through endcard.

I think they announced Owarimonogatari, this scene is definetly from Ougi Formula.

And the other girls are... I think girls from the right side are from Hidamari sketch. And girls on the left - Ai Kaga from Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei and Higasa from Hanamonogatari.

Aside from the To love-ru tier incestuous bath scene, Tsukimonogatari was not very interesting. One of the weakest entry in the Monogatari series if not the weakest, which still makes it very good, but not up to the series' usual standards. Even the directing was too normal compared to usual.

And it sucks that a character voiced by Koyasu was offed so quickly. It was an awesome scene but I was really disappointed to see go so soon. Fucking Ougi.

To be fair to the book, this is the start of the final Act. So the OVAs essentially laid down the groundworks for the future. I understand that it makes this story appear nonsensical as there appear to be irrelevant details that were elaborate on for no clear purpose, but it hopefully will make more sense in context later.

Much like how Hanekawa's presence at the start of Bakemonogatari appear perplexing, and that only after two full arcs do we truly understand why she does what she does.

Finished watching it a few hours ago. Enjoyed it as usual... monogatari never fails to deliver on the humor and the lewd :excl:
