Well Saten and Uiharu were in both of the Index OPs, so that isn't surprising. And I did call on Touma being in the Railgun OPs just so we can say he still appears every week.
And those hoping for an episode like the manga won't be disappointed, Spoiler:
The little scene at the beginning of the OP where the characters are running across the open field.......was unnecessarily corny though. And the OP animation didn't feel as "flowing" or good as the Index OPs at the beginning and ending parts of it.

Great... Very excellent! Bravo~ Bravo~ Yahoo~
As expected of Toaru Kagaku no Railgun. A hundred times more interesting than the original source. No incredibly annoying Touma lecture, no air heroine (what was her name...?), and the story is more interesting and easier to follow (not that anything has started yet). As always, Kuroko's voice is.......(-_-) But Ruiko and Kazari's voices are good. It seems, from this episode and the preview, that they are basically following the manga while replacing some parts and maybe switching around a few plot-unrelated events? I definitely don't remember the fight going the way it did in the anime... Both are interesting though. Poor Ruiko though, getting a kick in the face in the anime... (´・ω・`) The OP is pretty nice. Though the spoilers... Will it end after the first arc? And Yoshida. Come to think of it, there was a Louise and Saito cameo during the school festival in Shana II too.

The girls running in the OP reminds me a lot Sora wo kakeru shoujo OP. I felt silly watching that scene
Kuroko, her voice is itchy, but she is the soul of Railgun Rate: 8,5... I'll vote 9 cause soon will appear my favorite preaching character Quote:
PD: I don't like yuri but when they have the comedy inside, I approve |

MUCH better than the disappointment that was a certain annoying nun Kuroko's yuri antics had me rolling, and Biribiri is far more entertaining to watch than that cocky idiot Touma.
Not to mention the whole show looks incredible in HD. Kampfer looks like Akikan compared to this Can't wait for the Biribiri-tan extra with stalker Kuroko

I knew what awesomeness to expect from this episode since what I saw of the manga was similarly so, but the first full-blown railgun shot from Misaka this episode, complete with smooth animation and slow motion...
EPICALLY PERFECT

Index basically took this interesting and unusual "Academy City" setting with the psychics and the levels and everything and proceeded to ignore most of it in favor of constantly introducing random magical elements that deliberately could not be explained in a way that made sense compared to the rest of it. It's pretty easy to see why focusing on one side of the magic vs science story makes the story a whole lot more coherent.
